  1. Ran some weight numbers on the Pig Puncher, thus far. It doesn't FEEL this heavy, I swear! The Coke-Gram Scale has a max weight limit, so I broke a few things down - which is a benefit. Individual weights on a few key parts. PMag 20, loaded with 20 rounds of Federal Fusion 200-grain .338 Fed rounds = 25.40 oz Lower receiver assembly, complete = 44.50 oz Upper receiver setup, NO BCG, NO charging handle= 66.55 oz BCM Gunfighter 308 charging handle, Large latch = 1.40 oz D Wilson BCG, complete = 17.65 oz Beachin Tactical sling, WITH QD sling mounts = 6.55 oz Total on the gun, as it sits in the pics = 162.05 oz. That's 10.128 lbs, with a 20-round mag of 200-grainers, loaded. NO sights yet. The MagPul MBus Pro offset sights come in tomorrow, PA 1~6 scope and mount next week. I'll update those parts-weights, and re-total.
  2. Good binos are usually fixed-power, also.
  3. ^^^ 9th Edition... I'll pick up the new one quick. They used to have their "new load data that's not in the current book" online. And I didn't save the .338 Fed info when I had the chance. With the new release, that info isn't on the website anymore... Have to buy the book now...
  4. Yes, that's an Armalite model.
  5. I'm down with them as Dipshidiots.
  6. Here's the whole vid of the "Shasta County Men..." -titled video. You'll have to download it. Shasta_Co_men_create_part_to_make_guns_legal_under_new_law_KRCR(1).mp4
  7. ^^^ I love this place...
  8. You fukker!... This is my plan for the 338 LM as well - so we need to get together so I can shoot yours!!!...
  9. Shiit. Hornady just released the 10th Edition... I just found out...
  10. Lightest buttstock system that you're gonna find, that's still strong enough to smash something in the head with. http://www.battlearmsdevelopment.com/sabertube-tm-bad-lbs-lightweight-stock-combo
  11. Since you're getting back into reloading - .260 Remington.
  12. Damnit!!! I thought we were getting a Reloader's Paradise for a second!!!
  13. ^^^ That right there is 5.56 shiit. That's a comparison between (left to right) 5.56 carbine buffer, VLTOR A5 buffer, and 5.56 rifle buffer. That AR15 Carbine buffer will work in a 308AR, ONLY if used with the Armalite AR-10 Carbine receiver extension. THe other two will not work on a 308AR, at all. Here's a bigger pic of that...
  14. DAMN! That's a sweet deal.
  15. I've never seen an 80gr factory load that will fit in an AR magazine...
  16. ^^^ Valid point, with all the info you sent me on it.
  17. Both H110 and 1680 do run the Blackout kinda dirty. I've noticed that with the fouling. I pull them apart and give them a wipedown (not a full cleaning) after every run, just because of that. Might need to try the 4227.
  18. Damn, if there's any left on Friday, I'll grab a bunch of it. That's a great deal, brother - thanks for finding that! MagPul MBUS Pro Offset sights will be here Friday, and the Primary Arms 1~6 scope will be here next week. Don't know if I'll get a chance to zero the iron sights this weekend or not, but I'm gonna try.
  19. Nope.
  20. I don't think the gasblock is gonna move when fired - if it's not hitting your handguard when installed, it's not gonna hit when fired...
  21. Most of the time, it's better to cross-reference multiple sources. I use at least two different loading manuals when I start with a new cartridge. I used 4 different sources to come up with my 45-70 load.
  22. What are you using for load references? Also, this should be in the Reloading Section...
  23. Damn nice looking bolt gun!
