  1. Doc, have her check out the Walther CREED before she buys - new release from them, and looks to be very, very nice. Cheap, too, about $400. http://www.waltherarms.com/handguns/creed/
  2. This thread is the entire reason this forum exists, in the first place, seriously - perfect example. Now, throw in some RRA for the "third major type" and it would be all set. Know that the older Bushmaster BAR-10 is the exact same thing as the RRA LAR series. Then, toss in some "DPMS Gen II" and some "PSA GEN 2" parts, and further muddy the waters... Oh, and whatever weird schit custom billet CNC makers decide to do, like the Iron Ridge stuff from a few years ago...
  3. Fulton Armory is nothing but pure quality - no matter what you're ordering from them.
  4. Fulton Armory.

I'm clean. Nowhere on that list.

  7. That's EXACTLY what I thought when I saw the pic - there's TWO there!!!
  8. No, you could put them on. Change the endcap on the front sight base, if it won't accept A2 and triangular handguards, and you'd be good. The slip ring doesn't care which handguards go in there.
  9. That did it, right there. Max should have been 5.200".
  10. Oooooooooh! That Sig of yours, with the can on it...
  11. Some are $10k now, man!!! Nuts...
  12. Length on that thing, end to end, including the poly bumper on the end? Looks likfe almost 6" in one pic, but just about 5.25" in another. AR15 rifle buffer is 5.900" long; 308AR rifle buffer is 5.200" long. RRA LAR8 rifle buffers are 4.875" long.
  13. Ummmm.... That's usually not threaded. Post some pics of the entire buffer assembly, and include the measurement of the overall length.
  14. Bushmaster closed it's factory in Windham, Maine, when it was bought out by Cerberus. They moved the factory. The employees were let go (I think they were offered to move to the new factory). They old Bushmaster employees started Windham Weaponry... in the old Bushmaster factory... So, it's pretty much a Bushmaster... It's NOT the Bushmaster BAR-10 platform - THAT design was sold to Rock River Arms in the mid-2000's, and that old design is currently the RRA LAR-series rifles.
  15. High end mountain bike frames have been using this material for years...
  16. The little fukstick just got the death penalty.
  17. Check this one out...
  18. Out of the box, you can buy THIS Armalite AR-10 rifle, and swap the stock, add the carry handle assembly, and get the look you're after - maybe. It's a 16" barrel, which will be plenty accurate at distance. https://armalite.com/shop/ar-10a-tactical-carbine/
  19. I'm average. Even a blind monkey finds a banana once in awhile...
  20. In .308AR, that look is do-able. Carry handles are available, to add to upper receivers with a picatinny rail. In all honestly, DPMS-patterned parts are more readily-available than Armalite AR-10 based parts, but you could probably buy THAT look in a full rifle from Armalite, the AR-10. Complete. You wanna build it, or buy it and shoot it?
  21. Wow, man... IF that's not an original, then it's a pretty damn good recreation of a 1967~1969 XM16E1 rifle, in 5.56 NATO. No brass deflector, no fence around the mag release... If you really want to create THAT rifle in .308 Win, then you need to do some machining to get it exact. Like, machining off parts of current-production receivers that are available. Also, I doubt you'll find a current .308AR upper that has the forward assist, and doesn't have a brass deflector (which could be machined off...). How serious is this project?

Welcome aboard - excellent choices in both the receivers, and that trigger.
