Yeah, give a man a fish, teach a man to fish... You'll find it.

The C-17 is a bad motherfucker - by far, my favorite fixed-wing aircraft to jump from. They rock. :hethan:

It's been posted several times. It's here.

I will accept that as a compliment... <lmao> Hit the dedicated lower kinda first, while Justin still has them on sale. $275 for the lower is an awesome price, compared to what he had them at. I think before, they were $417 shipped. You'll have the $275 price, plus the $17 shiupping and insurance to your FFL, $293 total - right now while they're on sale. Get after it, Mike! :happydrunks: EDIT - send an email to: justin@cncguns.com and see if he still has them in stock. first. Right after that, fill out this form and send it to him... (form attached) ar45 purchase order.pdf

Yep, you ask, and nobody has it, then you buy it and tell us aaaaaaaall about it. Welcome aboard, from AZ.

What the what? Ares Armor coup?

I just got through to them on the phone, and received a very acceptable answer. I talked to Bo (or Beau) there. For a couple weekends in a row, they've run the 20% Off for everything they have. The first weekend through it, there was an issue with the 20% in the computer, on order receipt, and they had to sort that out. The next weekend it went 20% again, and everything went through just fine. When they left on Friday, they had 55 orders left to process from the previous weekend. When they came in Monday morning, they had 1,000 orders to process, after that second weekend sale. He guaranteed me that he had all my items are in stock, and they would ship today or tomorrow - I told him no worries, and they didn't have to ship that fast. I just wanted to be sure there wasn't a system issue, and that my order actually hit - and it did. If it ships fast, cool. If it doesn't ship fast, I know it'll ship once they get caught up. I don't have all the other parts for that damn rifle anyway... <laughs> They're still in good graces with me. <thumbsup> -
The Nikon P-Caliber scopes are the ProStaff scopes - same exact features, hell the exact same scope as the ProStaff, difference being either the caliber-specific BDC reticle, or the calibrated turrets. The P Series IS the ProStaff. The M Series is the Monarch line. IS the Monarch line. That's the difference. ProStaff scopes hold up to .308 Winchester, and alot more, heavier calibers, all the time. Your P-223 BDC reticle, or the calibrated turrets, will be off on the .308AR. Otherwise, the .308AR isn't going to kill that scope. EDIT - There is a P-308 out now...

We've had the pleasure of having D.Wilson Manufacturung here with us for several months now. Dave Wilson is a great guy, and quite responsive. In previous talks, he asked us what we needed, as far as field repair kits for the .308ARs, and several of us answered him with different versions of a field repair kit, with different contents. Literally, within hours, he had several different levels of field repair kits listed and priced on his website. THAT is responsiveness! :hail: I ordered and received a nitrided .308 complete bolt carrier group from him - received it fast, too. It's a very fine piece of work. All machining is perfect, the lightening flutes in the BCG body are a great touch, and the dual, nested extractor springs are a pretty damn smart idea. The firing pin retaining pin is the split-pin design, and not the cotterpin design. I disassembled and headspaced the bolt on 3 different DPMS-patterned barrels, and it headspaced perfectly on all three. Bottom line: this is one very high quality BCG, available at a very good price. Hit his website for the pricing information of the complete BCGs, but don't forget to look into the spare parts kits, either - all of them are badass. I will own several more of these BCGs, that's for sure. http://www.dwilsonmfg.com/ Overall shot of the side of the BCG: The business end of it: All broken down: Dual, nested extractor springs: At the time of this post, a complete nitrided BCG (including bolt) is $190. A NiB coated carrier body with nitrided bolt is $195. The complete NiB carrier body and NiB bolt is $200. You cannot get a better quality BCG combination anywhere else, and the prices are honestly quite low. Buy with confidence, no kidding in the least.

In my experience, Hornady 75gr BTHP projectiles are slightly more accurate than Sierra 77gr BTHP projectiles. Same powder charge for both, as well as for the Barnes 70gr TSX, with the powders I use.

Gun dealers are trying to get control of the estate, for the arms and ammunition. Count is now up to 1,500 firearms and 7 tons of ammo. http://www.guns.com/2015/07/25/gun-dealers-seek-impounded-collection-now-at-over-1500-guns/ I hope a relative is traced down. If not, you know the state will destroy all those firearms and ammunition.

What do you have on order or in the mail? Part 2

Watch the drivechain maintenance on those things - they are some chain-stretching bastards. Seriously. People buy these things and think "it's only a 250, it can't be that powerful..." It's not the engine power, or the torque - it's Yamaha's design of the drive system. I've had people skip the first and second services (600 miles and 4,000 miles), and bring them in with a super loose chain that ate through the left side of the swingarm... It's lovely to tell them that it is NOT covered under factory warranty, because they neglected to perform the maintenance on it. For real, clean/lube/adjust that chain twice as often as it tells you in the owner's manual, periodic maintenance chart. Yes, I am talking about the V-Star 250 here. <thumbsup> PS - the clutch sucks, too - you let the lever out about 7/8ths of it's travel before you hit the friction zone. Same design on the V-Star 650 and V-Star 1100... There's no "adjustment" you can do to change that - just make sure the clutch lever freeplay is set right - very little freeplay, just like a dirtbike, but it has to have some freeplay. -
In reality, it was probably a Jeep or other small truck, with an intake snorkel. Those became popular around1999 or 2000.

Big Kudos to you, too, mrraley - hell, you shipped my NM tube before I paid for it. Thank you again!

Hell yeah!!! :hethan:

Same here, the night we were all talking about it, Dave made the packages right on his website. Snatched up the master kit right away just for his support to us. The nitrided complete BCG came in today - DAMN nice hardware. I'll do a writeup on it tomorrow.

^^^ I took advantage of that a week ago, and ordered up another nitrided Reduced Friction 5.56 BCG. That was in the afternoon on the 21st. They still haven't sent me shipping/tracking information, and wouldn't answer the phone this morning. The mailbox was full and I couldn't leave a message... I kinda figured that was what would happen - they're proving it to me right now... -
Yep, welcome sidewinder - we hooked you up right. :threadjack:

Not only will you receive a marksmanship clinic, and damn great training, you'll get one hell of a history lesson. Appleseed is very, very well worth the time to attend, and the money. It's a Saturday/Sunday, and only cost $60.
-
I'll order and wait - price is $225 for the product - can't beat that with a stick. I think it'll be worth the wait, which is quite short honestly. Gives me the time to gather the rest of the parts, you pushy bastards. :fawkdance: Okay, recommendations for: Trigger Stock Thinking about MBus Pro sights Charging Handle (MechArmor, probably) Give me your thoughts, fellas.
