  1. You'll be safe on the SSF, brother - that's the Super Select Fire. Safe/Semi/Fun Switch. There won't be a run on those by a bunch of people that want to build a clone carbine. That article quoted "Adding an optional...", like it won't go into all of them. Geissele will run the same production they probably always have, and deliver what's required on their timeline. We're safe, man. <thumbsup>
  2. Damn, that makes me wanna take a vacation OUT of Az right now... <thumbsup>
  3. Basically, they're going to put the 12" DD rail on it - nobody else will win the rail portion of the fight, with SOCOM already running the DD setups for a long, long time. Then they're painting it, something "not black." This comment: That won't happen. If a trigger change is made away from the mil-spec trigger, it'll be the Geissele SSF trigger, which is again, already running in SOCOM units.
  4. Let POF solve this problem - there's enough problems with this pattern. Let them deal with it. POF and Hogan rifles get sent back alot, and get complaints alot.
  5. We - collectively - gather a few times a year at Marana Shooting Club, once in awhile at Casa Grande Shooting Range, and in n undisclosed location southwest of Ak-Chin Indian Reservation. We have a couple BIG shoots a year, often drawing in The Californian, into the free land. People have come from as far as KAN-tucky, Massachussetts, NorCal, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and JAPAN... Not a typo. The further away someone comes from, the bigger the events. Anytime an East-Coaster rolls through town, that triggers The Californian into a road trip, too. That NorCal guy needs to make more trips, though. I'm just sayin'... If we Go Big, you don't want to miss it. Call in sick for work... <lmao>
  6. I'd hoped so. <thumbsup>
  7. That was pretty very fuckin' funny!
  8. Welcome aboard - there's a metric $hit-ton of us here from AZ (we really run this place, despite all the grumbles from non-AZ'ers <lmao>). Phx is big, 60 miles across - where in PHX are you? NE, SW, Snott'sDale, etc. Give us an idea, and we can arrange a link-up and shoot. I have a secret desert test facility south of the city.
  9. I miss that fucker.
  10. No it won't - you'll pimp it. You'd sell your soul if the price were righ.... wait a minute - you sold that when you joined here... <lmao>
  11. Zero worries with impacting low left - all you need to do is adjust the sights. The "shotgun pattern" looks pretty good. <thumbsup> <dontknow> If you can't adjust the sights enough to bring it center, then the next step is ratcheting down that nut behind the trigger... <lmao> Glad she runs, brother.
  12. Burlesque isn't really necessary - he could just straight strip. Warning him now, though - the nickels hurt.
  13. I love it - someone finally put those thoughts onto YT. I do this every morning, but it doesn't always work for a full day. Sometimes, I find that I need to go into a profanity-laced Tourette's outburst, depending on the number and quality of a$sholes I'm forced to deal with and speak to. That, in itself, is meditation, too... <dontknow>
  14. We fit right in with these guys - mesh perfectly. <thumbsup>
  15. Where are you located? That suppressor is made in Finland...
  16. Coroplast works better than cardboard, water won't hurt it at all, and you can secure the paper targets to it with thumbtacks. We switched to that stuff a few years ago for the Appleseed targets.
  17. I can email you a pretty good copy of one, brother. Lemme know. <thumbsup>
  18. Very cool, man. Very, very cool. <thumbsup> One of these is definitely on "the list," but I need to get through two more .308s and a lightweight 5.56 first. Might make it into one of those.
  19. I noticed that RRA LAR-8 takedown pin is the perfect length. DPMS LR308 takedown pin is too short to get all the way through the receiver. AP takedown pin is the same length as DPMS/AR10, so it doesn't quit get it, either. For the front pivot pin, AP is too long - but it's a weird pin anyway. I don't have any other 308 pivot pins to try right now. Working length of the pin will need to be at least 1.335" long, preferably a little longer. 1.400" would be perfect.
  20. You'll skyrocket the resale if you add these:
  21. Holy Shat, fast shipping! Didn't bother tracking it yet, since it was just sent on the 6th. My local gunpusher calls this morning and tells me it's in. :ugone2far: I left work early today to pick it up. Can't find a "blem" anywhere on it. The rail offered with this set is very, very sweet, too - you guys are gonna regret not picking it up. I like the self-tensioning setup in the lower - I'm surprised nobody has mentioned that yet - slick design and great execution. Kudos to you, Chris - you knocked it outta the park. I suspect you already do that with all your customers. Well, except for whiny, bitchass 0331s. Highly commendable, brother! <thumbsup>
  22. This says it all - that guy selling special gas tubes?
  23. ^^^ Nailed it. Also, if you serch here for a specific component you're thinking about, chances are it's been used by someone, and already talked about. Example: triggers. Amongst everyone here, I'd bet we have every AR trigger made - or damn near.
  24. It would be priceless go get on one of those shows, and sneak in a weapon. Right when the situation is all tense, you rip a 3ft double Headed Jelly Dong out of your pack and club a wild board to death with it... on camera... <lmao>
