Did Jon ever $hit, or did he get off the pot here?... <lmao>
-
<lmao> I'm here for you, brother. <thumbsup> <laughs>
-
There were 4 of us - but 4 aren't enough... <lmao> It wouldn't have mattered if there were 8 of us, because you'd never be able to get 8 guys around that think and move it, without looking like a monkey fucking a football... <laughs> The 4 of us tried to do the work of a tractor, but that fucker wasn't budging. We had to give up, and physically unbolt it from it's base, and it took 4 guys to get each piece off the trailer. Twice. We got it into the corner, and reassembled it. It wasn't the ideal place for it - but it's still there to this day...

HELL. FUCKING. YES. I will make that thing a reality-on-video, just like they did. Looks like they were getting decent velocity, and it's certainly got the mass. Having a weapon like this in your arsenal is just SMART. Think about it - first, you have the "standoff distance" going for you, over "going physical" with the hand-to-hand 3-foot weapon. Distance between you and your attacker is of utmost importance... Next, psychological impact has to be severe. Especially for "crowd dispersion" situations. Someone taking a physical beatdown with a person weilding a 3ft Double Headed Jelly Dong will never forget that. Nor will his friends. Think of the possibilities of "psychological trauma" for large-crowd type riots, though... You launch a 12" RUBBER BRIGHT-PINK PENIS into the face of the Mob Instigator, drop him cold like a sack of $hit, nd the rest of the crowd will CERATAINLY not want ANY of that. I'll get to work on this right away...

Personally, I'm not sure on that, brother - catch engagement on a mag adapter - just because I'm not running an adapter. The 9mm lower is a dedicated lower from first-build, and on the AR45 it was "standard lower with Oly special mag," then I went dedicated lower on that one, too. I have zero experience with the mag adapters. You did ANOTHER badass awesome job on that mag catch, though... :hethan:

I don't like using 3-shot groups for judging either skill, or rifle mechanical accuracy - more for the rifle mechanical accuracy, through. With only 3 shots, you haven't heat cycled the barrel yet, the gas system isn't up to temp, etc. Jensen, that 10-shot @300 is DAMN SWEET! I will use a 3-shot group to zero a scope or iron sights, all day long. Take the center of the 3, make the move, recheck. Repeat until perceived as perfect. Shoot 10, confirm zero. <thumbsup>

I keep trying to tell these guys, it's about the girth, not the length... <thumbsup>
-
In the future, you have to remember this important fact... ^^^ Those words came from you. Directly. <lmao> :hethan:
-
(A) Mag body width: 0.983” (B.)Mag body length: 1.470” (C.) Mag body length, across reinforcement: 1.554” (D) Mag body width, across reinforcement: 1.072” (E) Top of mag catch to top corner of mag feed lip: 0.782” (F) Mag catch pocket, height: 0.371” (G) Mag Catch pocket length, front to back (centered in cutout): 0.406”

I'd strip them down to the mag bodies and run those bitches through the sandblaster, down to bare metal. Cerakote with black (or whatever color), and bake them. Done. Spartan, if you want them Patriot Brown, let me know. I'm blasting in the next couple weeks and painting alot of Patriot Brown. Ship 'em, and I'll coat 'em.
-
Hey brother - you've got them in hand. Get the measurements on them and I'll put up measurements of the KeepShooting GG mags that i have. That'll tell us - if your measurements are the same, or close, to what I've got, then they'll fit.
-
Rob, watch out - those aren't GG mags. They're for something else... check this listing: http://www.armslist.com/posts/1857489/knoxville-tennessee-magazines-for-sale--mpa-45-acp--grease-gun--magazines Up for sale are 3 grease gun 45 acp 30rd mags These mags will work in MAC 10 45 acp clones such as the VMAC 10 and MPA 10 also victory arms Thompson SMG tommy gun clone. *** Everybody likes to say "Grease Gun Magazines," but if it won't run in the M3 Grease Gun, then it might not be what you're looking for to build an AR45 with a CNC Guns dedicated lower. I don't know what the other companies use for mags. I get my new GG mags from keepshooting.com. Modern steel, new production, and they run. <thumbsup> M3 Grease Gun magazines don't have a crazy ridge on the back of them, and the mag catch slot is on the upper right side of the magazine.

Dean, don't sweat it - you just described it to yourself, and maybe didn't realize it. This one is running. Make it a long-ish range precision rifle, and let it be. Spend future funds on the next rifle, build it, and put whatever you want on it. Use this one as a learning tool, tweak minor things. The NEXT one will be a monster... <lmao>
-
Oh $hit, now he did it... Again... <lmao>
-
Hell yeah - two years ago I had a friend that received that exact Summit as a gift... "If you want it, come and get it or I'm tossing it out!" <lmao> I had to help him move it. Same machine, but already mounted on a stand alone base. We used a front-bucket tractor to get it on my trailer, but we didn't have that same tractor to get if off my trailer and into his shop... <laughs>
-
Yeah, those didn't look like 405gr lead cast, over 50.0 gr of IMR 3031 - not enough "impact" on him! He HAD to have been thinking of shotgun barrels... <dontknow>
-
Holy $hit, that's the giant one... Honestly, buy a stripped upper receiver, very first, and swap it out. Seriously. <thumbsup>
-
400-rd is a good day - nothing bad about that, at all. I'd like to hear more about this stuff, too...
-
Pmag LR20s, Lancer L7s, and DPMS 19-rounders run well through mine.
-
Justin (CNC Guns) stopped offering the 80% AR45 lowers a couple years ago. He only does the 100% lowers now, annodized. He did drop the price on them, though, and I think the price is still down. Used to cost about $417 to get a finished one shipped to you, now it's $293 shipped (if his price is still down). True, GG mags won't run in a standard lower, without some good modifications - they're too wide.
-
Aero M5 owners... Have you tried a DPMS mag yet?
98Z5V replied to Spartan's topic in General Discussion
Shot the new-version DPMS 19-rounder through my AP 308 - functioned fine. For "new version" versus the older stuff, you shouldn't have too much to worry about, for ordering - several years ago, the DPMS mags wouldn't run unless you performed surgery on the feed lips. Not a concern, now, if you're buying new. Watch out if you're looking for bargains on old, used ones. -
First, you need to search "The Rule." You'll understand once you find enough info about it. You were danger close to buying this trigger just now, but someone here ordered one in the not-too-distant past. Come to think of it - we haven't heard that review yet...

Towards the beginning of the video, during the intro, Hickock says the barrel on this one is just over 18". The Trapper has a barrel that's 16.25" long. It also holds 5 in the tube. The Guide Guns have an 18.5" barrel and hold 6 in the tube. Badass 45-70, right there. <thumbsup>
