  1. I don't have any "military grade weapons." I don't know anybody that has "military grade weapons." <dontknow> Hey, U.N.! :thefinger:
  2. Yep, hit that nail right on the head, brother.
  3. Sad to see it go, brother - I hope someone here snatches this up. That's a very, very good deal.
  4. The two things in common here - the trigger was adjusted, in both cases, prior to ever being fired. If it's an adjustable trigger, as advertised, you should be able to adjust it. I dropped my AR-15 Match trigger in as it was shipped, and shot it. It works wonderfully. I think I'll try to adjust it to the point of failure, and see if it can be adjusted back again.
  5. Shepp had a reset issue, on the range here during his visit. Quickly found out what it was - follow through on the trigger pull, intentionally, and you had to manually reset it by pushing the trigger forward after that follow through. If you didn't follow through, and just shot, the dicsonnector wouldn't catch the hammer, and it would get caught at the half-cocked position - not enough force to set off the next primer. What we worked through on the range was just to keep shooting for the day - follow through and manually reset. It worked like that. I'm sure he'll jump in here and let us know what's up with it now.
  6. Tell me when you're ready for the turbo. 1/4 @ 10.1 sec and 134mph - WITH the bags. Dropped the bags, went 9.9 @ 142mph. :hethan:
  7. Might be - we'll have to wait until he opens the box...
  8. You have no idea how much I feel this pain... :bat: :stfu2: <lmao>
  9. ^^^ He's truly "partially terrified" of what I shipped out to him yesterday... <lmao>
  10. I smell an accuracy test coming... <lmao>
  11. That man is hard as woodpecker lips.
  12. I like my Elf AR-15 Match trigger. Alot. <thumbsup> I've also never had a single issue with Gen 1 5.56 PMags. I have 30 of them, and they've been put to use over the years.
  13. I liked how you phrased that... you just "dabble" in it... <thumbsup> <laughs> <lmao>
  14. Nate, Eff it. You been paid... <thumbsup>
  15. Nate, I'm in. I get paid on Friday, will order Friday night. <thumbsup> Damn good lookin' barrel. :happydrunks:
  16. The same people that make extended pins for DPMS-based 308 rifles - the Armalite and DPMS pins are the same dimensions. As I said before - get me measurements of your pins, and I might be able to help you out.
  17. <lmao> That's AWESOME!!! <laughs>
  18. Tool, that was great! <thumbsup> :happydrunks:
  19. But, you ar... Eh, I'll leave it alone... <lmao>
  20. I used scopes for years, been around scopes for years - militarily. Never once did I see this brand of scope on any military rifle. Thus, the question. I've never not once seen one in military use. Anywhere. Now, is it that military members use this brand on their own rifles, outside of the military? Possibly. Wouldn't doubt it. However, there's no branch of the US military that uses these scopes, that I've ever seen.
  21. Surgery complete! Got the Armalite 10B bolt stop down to 0.530" bottom to top, and she functions like a champ. The Aero bolt stop had that little angle on the lower outer edge, so I chopped the Armalite in a similar fashion - zero need to do that. I also shorted the end of the Armalite to match the length of the Aero - zero need to do that either. I should have checked the thing in the rifle for those areas, but I didn't. Would have saved me time. I did install it, but at 0.590" high, I couldn't even pull the bolt carrier back - it hit. It clears now at 0.530", that's for damn sure. Glad I did it. Pics coming up in a few. Also tossed in the Armalite AR10A-pattern magazine catch... Pics:
  22. Bob, there's only one thing wrong with what you're doing, as far as seeing if your BCG is in spec. There is no defined set of plans, or design specs, on a 308AR. Chances are, AIM is gonna come back to you and say, "It's perfect! We contacted the manufacturer, and what you gave us matches their design drawings exactly!"... That is one of the hazards in building a 308AR. There is no Technical Data Package to follow, no set specs.
  23. The 10B catch is already in surgery, brother... <lmao>
