    It's here!

i just felt the need to highlight this fact. One. More. Time... <dontknow> <thumbsup>
  2. Would you?...
  3. Yep, first thing i thought...
  4. I'll just leave this here... SOCOM runs Geissele triggers for one reason. Only one reason.
  5. Yeah, really. All the information was presented to you, and you kept looking for another source of the problem. I got your attention, at the very, very end, though. You wouldn't listen before that. You have to understand something - arseholes that know everything show up here all the time. Literally, all the time. It doesn't matter to me if you own a machine shop, or anything else. what really matters to me is how many 308AR problems you've fixed. It's strange that you only got pissed off because of how i closed my post. By the way, everybody else - your buffer slams into the back of your receiver extension every time you shoot your rifle. That's the design. Your spring doesn't stop it, either from spring weight, or coil bind. If the spring stopped it from spring weight, you'd never be able to lock the BCG back by hand. if it stopped it from coil bind, you'd be replacing buffer springs every time you went out shooting. That's not hypothetical... ironmonster, I'm not pissed at you, in any way. I just find it odd that you were given the reason for your current issues, and you kept looking for more reason that didn't even pertain to the situation. I also find it odd that if I hadn't posted my very last sentence, then you probably wouldn't have said a word. if you were offended by that, then too fucking bad.
  6. This all comes down to "The Rules for Gunfighting" - What's not listed in those rules is this: I only carry a pistol, so I can fight my way to a rifle. Always have a rifle close by, or that you can fight to. If you don't have enough pistol ammo to fight your way to your rifle - then you need to carry more pistol ammo. A pistol is not a primary defensive weapon. If you only have a pistol and a knife - then the pistol is your primary. It's just not a primary defensive weapon, though. Have a rifle. 1. Bring a gun. Preferably, bring at least two guns. Bring all of your friends who have guns. 2. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammo is cheap – life is expensive. 3. Only hits count. The only thing worse than a miss is a slow miss. 4. If your shooting stance is good, you’re probably not moving fast enough or using cover correctly. 5. Move away from your attacker. Distance is your friend. (Lateral and diagonal movement are preferred.) 6. If you can choose what to bring to a gunfight, bring a long gun and a friend with a long gun. 7. In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived. 8. If you are not shooting, you should be communicating, reloading, and running. 9. Accuracy is relative: most combat shooting standards will be more dependent on “pucker factor” than the inherent accuracy of the gun. Use a gun that works EVERY TIME. “All skill is in vain when an Angel blows the powder from the flintlock of your musket.” 10. Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty. 11. Always cheat, always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose. 12. Have a plan. 13. Have a back-up plan, because the first one won’t work. 14. Use cover or concealment as much as possible. 15. Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours. 16. Don’t drop your guard. 17. Always tactical load and threat scan 360 degrees. 18. Watch their hands. Hands kill. (In God we trust. Everyone else, keep your hands where I can see them.) 19. Decide to be aggressive ENOUGH, quickly ENOUGH. 20. The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get. 21. Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet. 22. Be courteous to everyone, friendly to no one. 23. Your number one option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation. 24. Do not attend a gun fight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with anything smaller than “4″. 25. You can’t miss fast enough to win.
  7. This comes down to the flowchart stuff... I just installed mine and ran it. First question on the flowchart stuff is always "Did you fuk with it?..." <lmao>
  8. Almost exactly like that. If you just fired it, first round, it would go. In the cycling of it, it wouldn't catch at the full-cocked position and would stop at the half-cocked position. Second round resulted in it trying to fire from the half-cocked position, and a light primer strike because of that. i ripped into it and found out that you HAD to follow through on the trigger, and make damn sure you held it to the rear after every shot. when you did that, and eased up to reset it, the disconnector wouldn't let go of the hammer - it wouldn't reset. However, follow through, hold it to the rear, give it a nudge forward to reset it, and it would fire the next round perfect. Everytime, if you did that. I think it's the disconnector spring. There's an issue with the disconnector spring. I'll take mine apart tomorrow and get pics - we can work off those, and get shepp to rip his down when he gets back. I'm wondering if they've been building so many, that they forgot the disconnector spring in a few of them. I'm also wondering if it's an issue only on the .308 trigger. My trigger body is a dark grey, and it's the AR15 Match. Shepp's is the AR10, and the body is red. The dude in that link has a red body on his, but I don't think he stated what trigger it was. Might have missed that.
  9. We gotta do something about that pull-tab. That's what throws the whole thing off... <lmao>
  10. That crazy 45-70 shot on the thick plate blew my mind - but scared the $HIT out of me afterwards!!! I hit that bastard and the whole setup flew, and it was loud - everyone looked out there to see what the hell happened, and i was already moving to the target-block-of-aluminum-from-hell. The dent in the aluminum was impressive - but I didn't know that a chunk of that 405-grain projective flew back, and hit Shibi in the right side of his ribs... Could have been very, very different. Instead, it was pretty badass. Shib, you have no idea how glad I am that it turned out the way it did - but I had two giant aid bags in my truck. I would have passed out, but Mike would take care of you... <thumbsup>
  11. Alright, I told that little "Video Editor" bastard to change it from Private to Unlisted - TWICE! He clearly needs an asskicking. I just changed the settings again - should be good now, doc. <thumbsup>
  12. I wish you could have been here, brother. All the stuff you're doing now will pay off - the more it sucks while you're doing it, the more "worth it" it really is. Can't believe there's only 8 days left!!! :hail:
  13. I was hoping this thread title had to do with a Mustang GT, and picking up girls... <lmao>
  14. You might have to YouTube those things and link 'em in here. I'm loading up one now. Still have awhile to go...
  15. Those damn plastic bullets are fucking LOUD!
  16. Schit, you've got the skeet-attempt video, too... <lmao>
  17. Nope - I built that for all my Arsehole Army buddies that come into town a few times a year - they always wanna know what i've got that's new, and shoot all my stuff. And my ammo. I built that one so they have to shoot it, until I have enough pictures of them shooting it, then they get to shoot the other stuff... :hethan: Brother Rene - she isn't "thick," brother. She's straightup FAT... <lmao> After launching cans, and drinking a few empty, we decided to experiment with the empties. I still can't believe how fast the empty cans go, and how far they go. I need to try out those little 8oz bastards...
  18. Then it was good training!... <lmao>
  19. shib brought this little Crowd Pleaser with him: Shepp on the 45-70 - he put rounds downrange, and he got kicked. Hell Yeah!!! :hethan: Shepp on the Moss MVP - I honestly thought I wasn't gonna get this back from him... <lmao> Working on a vid right now - it'll be a little while.
  20. 1/2" plate - .308 Win goes right through. 1" plate - nothing got through this stuff. This is a 175gr Sierra MatchKing BTHP in it:
  21. Packed a little heavy in the Nissan today. Shepp, with FAT IRMA!!! You guys finally get to meet her!!! shibi brought out some 6061 aluminum plate, in 1/4", 1/2' and 1". All the rifle rounds defeated the 1/4" plate - the 45-70 put a bigass hole in it. Pistol rounds didn't make it through. I can't remember if Mike's 10mm went through or not...
  22. We back. I'm working on pics now. I'm damn honored to meet shepp - one hell of a good dude you are, brother! I finally paid for my stickers, too... <lmao> Lemme start digging and see what I've got for pics and vids...
