  1. This company is legit as fuk. SAA rocks. Back in the day, Aero Precision was a big deal, because of their quality of materials and work. However, Aero didn't sell their own stuff - they just made stuff for a Metric Shiit-Ton of other companies. Aero and SAA were literally around the corner from each other, when SAA was in Tacoma, WA. SAA got smart, and moved out of WA State a few years ago - but their relationship with Aero is solid. At any rate, if somebody hasn't heard of SAA, I just wanted to throw some support their way, and get them on your watch list. I have a ton of Aero Precision lower receivers on builds of mine, that aren't marked AP - they're all marked SAA... I still have some cool first gen AP lowers, with the original roll mark that they had, once they started selling under their own name. That was around the 2010 timeframe.
  2. For perverts like you, I get that... Doc tried to run, his wife blocked him by the kitchen island, and made him take it...
  3. That one is The Aftershock. The Closer...
  4. Well, in the Spring Session, it's 4 days, typically Thursday through Sunday. The Fall Session is 5 days, and is Thursday through Monday. The price is super steep. It always costs the same - Free-Fiddy-Free. Just show up to the desert in South Central AZ. So, the cash outlay is whatever it takes you to get here, then camp in the desert for 4 or 5 days. Breakfast and dinner are provided. We love to cook. Lunch is on you - whatever you like to do for that. The heavy price that you have to pay is the mental and psychological damage, afterwards. You'll see shiit out here that you've never seen before, do some things that you never thought were possible, and it's probably gonna impact you, long-term... We're not responsible for any counseling that you have to go through later in life due to attending. We're also not responsible for any marriage counseling that you need to attend, after your return, when your significant other notices that "you're different now..." Not on us...
  5. I love his work - meticulous, and amazing. This will make you happy - I found out where the bitch stashed it...
  6. ^^^ From what you stated, and I quoted. Looks like it's coming from me, but it's not. ^^^ My estimation. Fix that first. Very first. If it's never fixed - then the gun isn't gonna work, no matter what you do to it.
  7. If that's the case, then it's an AR15 gas tube in a .308AR gun. AR15s have a lower height over bore, and not the proper height over bore that these Large Frames need. IF the gas tube is the proper length, but it's AR15 bend, then the only solution is get ahold of White Oak Armament and get a custom gas tube with the proper bend. IF the gas tube is too short, then the answer is easy - get an Armalite AR-10 gas tube.
  8. Race Gun Parts - like that recoil system - belong in Race Guns, that you make money from, in Professional Competitions, and those Race Gun Parts are all tailored to your load, that you're shooting for whatever "Power Factor" that you're trying to meet for that competition, to win Prize Money. Race Gun Parts don't belong in operational guns - that you want, or need, those guns to eat a variety of ammo, on any given day, in any given circumstance or weather condition... My $0.02 on Race Gun Parts. Don't Complicate Shiit with Complicated Shiit. You'll be better off, in the long run.
  9. What malfunctions is he having - the friend? I'm leaning toward the barrel, and the gas port diameter. But I don't know what the malfunctions are. All other parts look okay, to make a functional gun. THIS is the only issue this gun has, right now, on paper and written word. Punch that gas port up. Report results back. Fancy complicated guns with fancy complicated parts - like his fancy complicated recoil system - sometimes require a little "extra love" - so he might be punching that gas port up to about 0.098" Bottom line - You Don't Complicate Shiit with Complicated Shiit. You make a running gun, first - simple operational parts that work - and then add your Complicated Shiit, based on gun performance, and evaluate it it one piece at a time, and see how your gun reacts. Make adjustments off that information.
  10. I have a close personal friend at POF, pretty high up. If you still are considering one of these guns, get ahold of me via Personal Message, and I'll see if I can put you in touch with him. Lemme know.
  11. I love shiit like this. Love it. I noticed the 2A value in EPA V. W.Va immediately, because it BITCH-SLAPPED a .gov agency, right in the face, right away - the writing was on the wall, right then. "YOU have over-stepped your legal bounds... which is NOT upon YOU to decide..." This is another one, where the true power isn't IN the agency, to do whatever they want. The true power is in the rule-making body (House), and all these different agencies that have been running amok for the last 20 years are being put in check. HARD. Like this - @edgecrusher will love this one: All the over-reaching agencies need checked like this...
  12. The Aero M5 receivers are a very, very solid platform to build the Large Frames from. Aero nails it. Just don't use their M5 Carbine Recoil System that they sell. Make your own, proper recoil system, if you decide to run the Carbine Recoil System. Their Rifle Recoil System for the M5 is good.
  13. I use RL-7 for my 25/45 loads, with Sierra 90gr Game Kings. Have it on-hand. I'll look into that one, too...
  14. I've learned alot over the past 20 years-ish, playing with gas guns and reloads. And other guns. Rule #1. 30 Carbine powders are commonly used for modern 300 BLK loads. Use 30 Carbine powder references if your 300 BLK loads suck. Think outside the box. Rule #2. There are 3 different 45-70 load patterns, and you need to know what gun you have before you blindly pick a referenced load, and load it up. There are Trap Door Loads, Ruger #1 Loads, and "Modern 45-70 Loads" - which cover all the Marlin 1895 guns, and the like models of Modern Lever. Traps door loads will SUCK in your 1895. Ruger #1 Loads will blow your 1895 UP, if you like "hot loads" and used Ruger #1 info. Pay attention to the reference for your 45-70 - and make sure you're using a reference for the gun YOU have... Rule #3. Alot of 45-70 powders are also GREAT 300 BLK powders, for modern 300 BLK loads. Use 45-70 powder references if your 300 BLK loads sucks. Again, Think outside the box. Rule #4. Don't blow up your 300 BLK gas gun, just from something I stated here. Do THE RESEARCH on it. It all works, at the appropriate load levels.
  15. It's all true, and the quote they both have above is directly from me, myself. It's my own doing, in the long run. Some people call it "Adrenaline Junky" and other shiit like that. That's not truly it. It's internal wiring, in the Brain Pain I was blessed with - or cursed with. Glass half full, whatever... Is it Half Empty, right now? Who fuckin' cares, REV IT AND DROP THE CLUTCH!!! If you fucked the shift up, DOUBLE CLUTCH IT AND HIT IT AGAIN!!! It needs to excite me, get me moving - or it just sucks. Move on, find something that fires me up... No matter which way you slice it, I'm fucked, for life, due to it. I'm truly Handicapped by my own Natural Immaturity. Words to live by - REFUSE TO GROW UP...
  16. Here's your ultimate Playground, men. Get in the sandbox, and get as dirty as you want. It's limited only by your imagination, in what can be planned and accomplished. Everything is on the table... Here's a good view from the firing line in camp. We can set anything we want up, any distance up to 450. We have a surveyed 450 location and 609 location for full size IPSC plates, and permanent steel targets (that never get taken down) at 480, 609, 712, and 780. We're hopefully gonna get an 850 up there in the hill, before Fall. This is all right from the firing line in camp. This doesn't even include the offset location (about 1km away from camp) for the Long Distance range. Out there, it's the surveyed 500, 850, and anything else out to about 1350. The 850 target on the offset range doubles as the 1760 target from camp. The 850 over there, is exactly 1.00 miles from the firing line at camp. Hopefully, before Fall, I can get a surveyed target location out there for 2k yards. We'll see.
  17. Once you get past the Super Steep Class Registration Fees, it ain't bad, is it?... We dabbled in the information that we needed to have on the last one, but this year, I'll plan to run the Full Meal Deal. All of it. Scopes, MOAs and MILs, what that all means through YOUR glass and reticle, Range Estimation, Long Range Fundamentals, Wind Reading, and High Angle Shooting. The cool thing is you get the information, and then you get to put it to use right away. That makes most of it stick in your Brain Housing Group. And the new class that I'm working up - Spotting for Shooters, Estimating Wind Calls, and Accurately Calling Shots. Both ways, shooter's preference. Call impact of last shot, or call corrections for next shot. When spotting, you need to do what the shooter needs, in order for them to put rounds on target. This is gonna be fucked up for Spotters - you need to know both MOA and MILs, in order to call... Depends on what scope is on the guy's gun, that's on the line right then. Class Registration Fees will be exponentially higher this year, due to that...
  18. CSM Irtenkoff was the 2/7 BDE CSM. He was ready to kill me and eat me right there, on the spot - you bet your ASS I was called in for that one. I didn't even TRY to blame it is Skip - and that fucker set my immature ass up in the first place. I didn't know what to do - I was told to "report to COL BURNEY!!!" and I was skeered shiitless. When I walked into his makeshift combat office, I "reported" for real. He looked at me, and said "Aren't you my hot-wire guy?..." I WALKED... Zero trouble... Always have a skill, men - that someone else needs... And cross your lucky stars...
  19. Get the book - do it. I didn't know the man, until he was my Infantry Brigade Commander, in 1989. Holy shiit, did I figure out he was a badass, instantaneously. 4 months later, we were in Panama, for the invasion. Only had 4 months in that unit, but we were ready after my first 2 months. train like you fight, was his mentality, and we did. I know I've told the story. We landed at Tocumen. The Rangers fucked that airport UP. We landed safe. We had to mmove shiit, and I hot-wired the baggage-train-tractor - whatever that this was. I was a hero, for moving supplies. That night. Another day later, we had to move some shiit - I hotwired an ice cream truck, and got it moved. After that, it was "hotwire that RPG-d CUCV.." and I did. And, I was the "HotWire Guy." If they needed a rig, I could start it. Well, Tocumen. Noriega's Beach House. That dude had dirtbikes, atv's, all kinds of shiit at that beach house, We took it all. He had Honda Pilots... Honda Odesseys... FL350, 350cc 4-stroke... FL-400, 400cc 2-stroke.... Yeah, baby... Skip, the S4 officer, told me that if I could start that FL400, I could drive it anywere I wanted. Well, fuk, it had a broken choke cable noodle, so the choke didn't work. I figured that out quick, and fired it up! Skip (Brigade S4 Captain)... told me to rip that bitch down the airstrip! And I did! Whilst COL Burney was giving an interview to CNN... and I'm hauling the MOST ASS that this thing can give me on a wide open rip down an airfield - this is the ONLY chance I'm ever gonna get to do this in my life = and Skip said do it... Well, things turned south, sharply. Fast. We're now at Rio Hato Airfield, our second location. "Noriega's Beach House..." We landed at Tocumen International Airport, Invasion point, Tocumen, conduct Relief In Place (RIP) for Ranger Regiment at Rio Hato... . So, two airfields, two days. It's all a "runway" to me, and at the first one, all I got to do was hotwire shiit, to move shiit. NOW... I get to hotwire shiit to PLAY?!!? I'm in. Bad call - should NOT have made that WO run during COL Burney's CNN interview. Big mistake. Didn't know that was going on, but then again - that's WAY below my purview, and understanding of the current political landscape on which we're currently deployed... It's out there on the net somewhere, and it's a wild video, and COL Burney should have killed me and eaten me right there. If I was an officer, he would have. But he loved his NCOs... Thank fucking God. Somebody a long time ago revived that COL Burney CNN interview on the net. And somewhere out there on the world wide web is an old video of a 7th ID Lightfighter, rippin ASS down an airfield in Panama. Wide Fuckin' Open.
  20. Been the go-to for years -had you researched that before asking, you'd have found that information. Easily.
  21. On a side note - I met a lady a few days ago, name is "Lori Jo..." Seems safe.
  22. Ex wife got involved. Well, let me correct that. I got involved with my ex wife again. AGAIN! What a complete SHIIT-SHOW THAT WOMAN IS! It's been a pretty epic start with her, a pretty wild ride with her, and a pretty epic ending with her... a year later. AGAIN! To cut it short, I'm GLAD she's gone, and that psycho will NEVER be in my life again. No, heat didn't work. I don't know what's happened to that bolt previously, but I've tried to get that thing out of there 3 ways from Sunday, and I can't think of a single thing to get that pin outta there. I've tried every trick that I know. "Machinist" is next. Now, after the Hurricane Kim is gone from my life - I just need to find your bolt. I know she didn't take it, because she didn't even know that I had it in the first place. She did, however, "move" alot of my stuff around. I'm finding new things every single day, that aren't new. They're just in a "new" place, not where they belong. So, bottom line - I didn't get that pin out. Another bottom line - the bolt isn't gone. I just need to find out where it is NOW...
  23. Absolutely nothing is different, except for the markings on the receiver. It's the exact same company making both. Palmetto State Armory. PSA bought DPMS during all the fuckery that put the parent company under. PSA didn't bring DPMS back - they just rebranded their own stuff with DPMS markings.
  24. I'm at 50.0 grains of IMR 3031 for my 405gr projectiles. It kicks like a pissed off mule. One reference listed 55.00 grains as the max for that load. No way am I taking this load up any further...
