Malig8r Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 I bet most of those get purchased by people that will keep them as safe queens!
blue109 Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Would have been awesome if they put the charging handle on top
Malig8r Posted September 24, 2015 Report Posted September 24, 2015 Would have been awesome if they put the charging handle on topTotally agree with you on this Blue!!!
98Z5V Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Damn, that thing is nice. With only 60 made, they are gonna be gone... QUICK!After that, the price on resale will go through the roof...
Charlie Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Would have been awesome if they put the charging handle on topThat would be the cat's meow, but it wouldn't work with the removable carry handle.I think I remember (Westrom's) Armalite making some AR-10s with the charging handle on top right after they started the business, but maybe it was just a picture on their website.
blue109 Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Didn't realize it was a removable carry handle. /Retrofail
Charlie Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 That would be the cat's meow, but it wouldn't work with the removable carry handle.I think I remember (Westrom's) Armalite making some AR-10s with the charging handle on top right after they started the business, but maybe it was just a picture on their website.I found this on the FAL forum, and it jives with my memory of that time:The current "Armalite" company did a retro called the AR-10b, about 12 or so years ago. Sudanese style handguards , trigger charged in the carry handle, brown furniture. I've got one, it's a fun rifle. They turn up used occasionally. Even has the Pegasus rollmarked lower receiver.
Sisco Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Looks like Armalite recycled some extra AR10T barrels and front free floating hand guards, some NM detachable carry handles, and other spare pieces they had laying around to make a commerative rifle. Not necessairily bad, but not a real accurate replica of the original. But It will shoot well, no doubt. $1799 for any AR10 T is a decent price and worth it.
blue109 Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Hey Charlie...someone on this forum had one of those and it looked sweet. Don't remember who or if it was a regular poster. That's what I was hoping to see here.

blue109 Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Guru...I swear I remember someone posted one of the factory retro builds. It wasn't too long ago. Maybe one of those guys who didn't make it of the turnstile lol
guruofhotrod Posted September 26, 2015 Report Posted September 26, 2015 Yea, look at the pics on the 3rd page of the thread I linked
