...no sense in not waiting for the UBR2, right?

Unless it's not released yet, and you've got the entire rifle finished - you're right, might as well wait.

If the whole thing, minus stock, comes together - and that stock isn't out yet...   You can just refer back to the part numbers here and get yourself rolling with something to complete the rifle.

Alright, so I got my Faxon 20" medium fluted barrel today, onto the gas-block issue. I believe what I'd like is a clamp-on low profile adjustable block to go with my rifle-length system. Is this something I can do without having a pre-drilled set-screw hole? And if so, what brand/model would you recommend?

I use only clamp on Gas Block , made of Steel , I do have one made of Aluminum on my 20" 308 & has had no issues & its my oldest 308AR build . The one I used on my 25-45 Sharps build I just did was a 0.750 YHM clamp on type , around $ 40 . There are a lot of others.

You don't need a dimple with a clamp style block. I really like my SLR adjustable gas blocks. Tried one from Superlative but the bleed off system wouldn't adjust for the 308, maxed out and didn't cut enough gas.

I'll give 2nd thumbs-up to SLR, specifically their Sentry series. Outstanding product!

Finally have all my parts for my M5 build, minus the optics. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good setup as far as a vise block goes? Seems they are pretty useful when it comes to torquing down the barrel/compensator. All input is welcome!

True that. Stupid busy work schedule prevented updating this site. Will have the last piece needed for assembly tomorrow. Once assembled and test fired, I'll post pics and a parts list.
