Just got a hold of a DPMS G2 Compact Hunter in .308 and am looking forward to getting it into the field for the upcoming deer season. Glad to have found the forum. washguy Posted August 21, 2017 Report Share Posted August 21, 2017 Welcome from Texas Bueller....lets get that rifle to the range...remember on these 308's if they are brand spankin new you should run it wet with oil....they are a complete different animal from the lil brother ar15.....and one other thought ...if its a factory rifle it still doesn't mean its gonna run flawless till you get some lead down the pipe....and lancer mags are your friend....let the draining of the wallet begin !
