shooterrex Posted May 10, 2021 Report Posted May 10, 2021 We have those Cummins pickup diesel engines in our yard trucks. We pull fully loaded trailers around just fine.
98Z5V Posted May 10, 2021 Report Posted May 10, 2021 That's the older 12-valve in that 'Stang. You could make some HUGE Hp/Tq with those things, with just a simple swap to the P7100 pump. Crank up the pump, and UP GOES THE POWER!!! The 24-valve engines take more work to get that initial power jump on 'em. That transition, if you guys are looking for older Dodge Ram Diesels to grab a Cummins - the 24v made it's debut in the '99 trucks. The '99s also had (manual transmission) the NV5600 trans - the 6 speed with granny low 1st gear. Before that, they were the NV4500 trans, 5 speed, granny low. Both are very sought-after to swap into Jeeps and rock rigs, but if you're looking for that 6-speed, it's '99 up...

This is hilarious, brother - I found the drag strip video. It's ironic, I just started watching this guy's vids last week, when he bought WhistlinDiesel's Hellcat...
