K 2vs B5

I like a more vertical grip for my arthritic hands. Compared the K2 to the B5 my take for the angle the B5 at the end of the grip comes forward about 1/8" stronger than the K2. K2 has storage for small things, B5 doesn't. But B5 is wider IMO and the stippling is very tacky without the rubber of the K2+ which in high temps could be problematic. I likey.

My sentiments, exactly, brother.  To a T.  I wish the B5 P23 grip had a cap, and could store something (spare batts, M&Ms, whatever).  The B5 stipling is WAY STOUT!  You're not letting go of that grip by accident!

I don't like the MagPul "+" grips anymore.  First 2 years back in Phx, and I had one get all tacky on me, like an old set of dirtbike grips.  I killed off all the MOE + grips and K2+ grips right away, and replaced them with the regular plastic versions, for that very reason.  I still like K2s, and I'll use them, or the P23 grip - whichever one is hanging on the wall in John's shop, in the right color, I'll grab it.  He's been pushing B5 pretty good, and I'm a fan of them for their SOPMOD stocks, from WAY back.  Since he's been slinging the B5 pretty hard, that's why you're seeing more of those grips on my builds.  They work, very fukkin' well.

You guys just ship me all those + grips you're gonna throw out, I like them in the cold with gloves and haven't had them go gooey on me here in Iowa yet. Love the grip on those B5 but my short fingers tell me they are a bit wider as well and not the best fit for me regrettably. Isn't it awesome we can be picky now, never dawned on me the grip even needed improved in the 80's.

Yep...   :laffs:  I have one left.  It's a standard MOE + in FDE, so PM me your mailing address again, and it's on the way.

I think all the rest went into the campfire, after I couldn't give 'em away out here...   Nobody likes those things out here, except for AZ Newbies...  :lmao:

+2

All of my 308-AR's have A2 stocks on them for the same reason, storage.  I keep a small cleaning kit in the 308-AR I take out West Elk Hunting and some fire starting stuff......

I haven't had one go sticky yet. Still on all my guns 😉

The one I sent you was sticky already...   :laffs: Maybe it's just a Phx-area thing, but those bitches go soft like dirt bike grips...  :lmao:
