The rail came with a gouge in one of the (prongs)?
you think this is an issue?

Give it a dab of flat black paint and carry on.  Chances are with it being that close to the upper nothing will be attached there anyway.

Update

i finally got around to shooting this rifle. IlI was very happy with everything except that the slide wouldn’t lock back after the last round about 50% of the time.

Thanks for the update.  How many rounds have you fired through it so far?  Sometimes, it takes a bit to run correctly.  Also, are you running it with lots of lube?  That is frequently an issue with new rifles.

How is the accuracy?  I hope it is better than the 2MOA you were asking for in the beginning.

Just 20 rounds, I still haven’t decided on a scope so I swapped a red dot off one of my other rifles. The ammo wasn’t great but the 5 rounds that I shot (other people I was with shot the rest) were all touching at 50 yards so I think it will be good once I get a scope and put match ammo through it.  I ran it wet, seems to be the one thing everyone agrees on here. People  have been a great help. I’m glad I found this place.

Cleaning the rifle I noticed the the charging handle was rubbing along the upper receiver. Is this normal break in wear?  20 rounds through it.
Thanks and Happy Easter!
