We got after it today, men!!!    39 total targets over 5 stages.  @JBMatt cleaned the course again, and he has found some speed!  Fastest shooter of the day was in our squad, we shoot with him every month.  He ripped a 30.08 second time for this timed stage, and Matt crush aa 40.02 second run.  I fould a little speed, too, and pulled a 47.21 on that stage for time.

Matt cleaned every stage, perfect 39/39 score, and was 2nd place overall, out of 68 people total.  I dropped the last target on the last stage, ran out of time.  Pulled a 38/39, 14th place overall.  Matt pointed out that if I cleaned that last stage, didn't drop that last target, I would have been 6th overall, based on my time on the timed stage.

Oh well, next month for me, I guess...  :lmao:

Fantastic shooting day - literally excellent!   Good conditions, the humidity sucked, but projectiles were going where they're sent to.

Had to deal with these guys twice during the match - two safety shutdowns, to chase these free-ranging bastards away, before they got turned into "delicious..."  :laffs:

Click it several times - it gets bigger.

Rounds-remaining was very good, as well.  I pretty much hit what I was supposed to, per stage.

Stg 4: 13 remaining, 7 sent downrange

Stg 5: 10 remaining

Stg 1: 9 remaining

Stg 2: 6 remaining

Stg 3: 9 remaining

Overall - excellent shooting day.

68 shooters would be a good turnout in the venue I was shooting.  Unless maybe a Regional match.   This looks to be a whole different kind of fun.

It's an absolute blast, man.  Over the past 7 or 8 months, we've kind of worked up the same people in the squad, and we all sign up in the same squad when the match registration opens.  Great group of people to shoot with/around, and alot of fun (and comments) during the actual match.  :laffs:

It's usually around 75 people total, 5 squads of 15.  This month, all squads were capped at 14, and there were still a couple spots open,  A couple months ago we had 18 in our squad.

There's an October championship match open signups now, 12 squads of 12 people, 12 stages over two days.  THAT is gonna be a big one!

Yep.  All of this.  By 0900 there wasn't a dry shirt to be seen!  But the ability to see bullet trace was pretty epic!

I barely had the chance to spot, but when I did, that trace was EASY to watch.  You knew if they were gonna hit it 1/2 way there - or if they were not gonna hit it.  We usually don't have enough humidity to see it that well.  Damn great match.   :hail:
