Identify?

Definitely not an Aero.  But it does appear to have a Diamondback BCG in it.  Everything on Diamondback's site has the AR10 slant back.

M5 .308 Assembled Upper Receiver - Anodized Black

Note the little A above the forward assist and the position of the forward assist itself.

Yes, I agree it doesn’t resemble the Aero at all and I thought all of them have the A logo on them. And I also saw that the DB’s  all seemed to be the armalite slant instead of dpms curve. The reason I was trying to find out is that I ended up with two 308s and if I try to sell it, would like to know the brand. I have it on an aero lower that I purchased separately.

That's a DPMS LR-308 upper receiver - just the receiver.  100% positive on that.  It's extruded and machined, and there isn't any other one like it, with those lines.  The rest of the parts - no way to tell on the barrel, unless you can find marks/stamps in it, same with the rail.

You can measure the tang on the back of it and easily determine if it's high profile or low profile.

I love seeing this.  Proves that Aero M5 receivers pin to DPMS LR-308 receivers.  I've stated that for years here, because I have both, and know they pin together and work together, but people have called that into question in the past.  Now, like then, I just tell them to suck it...   :thefinger:

Great pic, man.
