imschur
GEMTECH has expanded its line of silencer subsonic ammunition to include the increasingly popular 300 AAC Blackout round. Weighing 187-grains, GEMTECH 300 BLK loads offer consistent velocities and hard-hitting performance at subsonic, suppressor-friendly speeds. Robocop1051
Are they selling them, or just talking.
gunbunny
Nothing on their website as of yet. I just checked the ammunition section and only see the subsonic .22lr that is out of stock. It would be nice to see this for sale. Actually, I would like to see their load data for it; I have a bag of .311 dia, 180gr round nose bullets that I can resize to .309 very easily. I would like to have a subsonic load for my rifle, as I have loaded 110gr M1 carbine bullets (work supprisingly well) and 125gr Nosler ballistic tips. I've been using Hogdon's Lil' Gun. .308LiteHunter
I picked up a couple boxes at the lgs. It says 1050FPS The ammo has a COL of 2.120 +/- .003 Unknown powder 11.2-11.3 grs
98Z5V
I just turned my computer upside down, so I could view that accurately... <lmao> Sweet deconstruction, Lite! EDIT - I'll bet that powder is Accurate 1680. The 190-grain projectile info gives: 1200fps charge weight is 12.9gr and the 1300fps charge weight is 14.0gr. It makes sense for 1050fps at the lower 11.2~11.3gr charge weight... Does the powder look like 1680? .308LiteHunter
Yeah, sry. I rotated and saved that picture 5 times and still couldn't get it right! :) I took some closeups of the powder. I'll try to get them up. They were to large to upload. 1680 is a unicorn powder for me.

.308LiteHunter
Pretty interesting that they have their own head stamp. Does that mean they make their brass or just buy it and have it stamped,. Edited January 28, 2015 by .308LiteHunter
98Z5V
Could be 1680 - hard to tell. Need more close-up pics of it. This is 1680:

.308LiteHunter
These are the best pictures I can do with the technology that I have. I don't think it is the same powder in the picture 98 posted ( 1680 ) the granules are either ball shaped in which there are small, medium and large. Then there are granules that are potato shaped about the size of the large balls. Lastly there are granules that are hot dog shaped which you can see in the last picture. 98Z5V
Could be Accurate #9. That powder is listed in the Hornady 9th Edition manual in almost all the 300BLK loads. Charge weight is a little less than what you have listed, but the powder looks very, very similar.
shibiwan
Interesting. How much are you getting them for 308?
