Hitman Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Hello from WV folks. P/U a P308 and this looks like the place to discuss my adventures with her. I've only had a chance to run 80rnds through it so far. I'm gonna hit the loading bench this this afternoon and see if I can find a bullet it prefers. Spring is around the corner so I'll be able to devote some range time soon. Lookin' forward to checkin' out everyones views. Thanks, Hitman.
pridekills Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Welcome. Got to play with my FFL's Saturday. Very nice rifles, his likes the 168gr SMK's he was running Varget powder, but not sure on the charge.
Matt.Cross Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 Hitman from WV? Are you from Matewan by any chance?
Hitman Posted March 11, 2013 Author Report Posted March 11, 2013 No, I'm from the northern panhandle. I did used to drive a coal truck and lived on Blackberry Creek across the Tug from Matewan. Lived up past the Auburn tipple by the old railroad underpass. Been a while since I been down that way.
Matt.Cross Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 I know exactly where you're talking about. I used to live just across the tug in Phelps, KY. I knew a contractor name of Raymond Jones whose call sign was "Hitman" and I figured maybe the world was just small enough.... No, I'm from the northern panhandle. I did used to drive a coal truck and lived on Blackberry Creek across the Tug from Matewan. Lived up past the Auburn tipple by the old railroad underpass. Been a while since I been down that way.
Hitman Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 I worked for Joby Fields and the Stump brothers hauling out of Blackberry Creek over to the Sprouse Creek processing plant. I'd say we probably know a few of the same folks. I moved on and made a career of hauling some of the nastiest chemicals on the planet for over 30yrs.
unforgiven Posted March 13, 2013 Report Posted March 13, 2013 It's the things we do to earn a living brother. No one here has a silver spoon.
