How do you plan to mount the bipod? I have the same rifle, but in 308. I need a bipod, yet I have no rail to mount it to. Can the strap mount be used?

There should be a sling swivel stud on the bottom of the handguard or a hole to mount one.  If it only has slots, and there is a slot on the bottom, I have a rail mount that would work for you.

What Bipod are you looking at? Harris or something else?

I haven't really looked yet. i wanted to figure out the mount so I would be looking at the right type. Do you suggest the Harris?

For mounting to a sling swivel stud, a Harris is pretty easy to use and is a very good bipod.

Harris  is great. I either use them or GG&G. You can nearly get two Harris for the price of a GG&G

Just got same rifle couple weeks ago. My bro has 308 so I couldn't copycat...ha

vent started mods yet. Tore down and cleaned smoothed up trigger. Tough finding dies and brass. Midway had some loaded hornady 140s and dies. Been freezin-a** cold here, and I'm anxious to pop a few rounds through this thing

what was the reasoning for choosing creedmor over 308 win? Do you think its better or are you a gun whore (this means that you want one of everything). just curious.

My next rifle is going to be the 6.5 Creedmoor.  Longer range & flatter trajectory over the 308.

Why not the .260 Rem? The stats are nearly the same... And the .260 seems a lot cheaper and easier to get...

I understand the reason of choosing over the .308 Win, but what does the 6.5 Creedmoor offer over the .260 Remington? I'm truly asking for my own knowledge. I have ZERO experience with the 6.5, but I owned a Rem 700 in the .260 and I loved it.

The creedmoor case is shorter, so the long 6.5 bullet isn't seated as deap in the case as the 260.

Plus I really like the name, sounds cooler.  Creedmoor aaaahhhh :drool:
