14.5 remodel

Before and after..... Now..Rodgers Super stock delux,milspec tube/buffer,Tac-ops CH,Moe+ OD w/batt core,RRA star selector from .308,1 pc sling attachment from Botach,Lancer lower w/ambi bolt release & competition mag well,ACT trigger,Troy bravo 1pc 13" handguard,Vortex 4X magnifier,Eotech AR.223,MBUS gen2,BABC pinned to 14.5 CHF PSA upper, Vtac sling,and We the "We people" mag wrap.It's from what I have learned here that gave me the confidence to remove the Magpul handguard and other accessories snug the barrel sandwiched between some wood and cut the frount sight off,bayonet lug and swivel with a 4" grinder and cuttoff wheel.Took the barrel and 2 small pieces of 2X4 to put underneath for support,looked for the small ends of pins and knocked them out with "Wheeler punch and hammer" set.Put gun oil on leading edge and drifted the sight forward leaving gas tube attached.Cut end cap in half with snips and removed the rest over tube.Went back to garage and cut the Delta ring,spring,and circle clip.Knock the remaining Frt.sight now lo pro gas block back into place used pin to line up and tapped back tapered pins.Put grinder wheel on on ground gas block with tape on the end of gas tube to keep out junk.Ground down surfaces so hanguard would go on.Couldn't paint shiny surfaces [paint was froze] so I touched up areas with black marker.Slipped over handguard then added retatining clips.Used 1pc. scope mount to bridge both rails [upper&handguard] then tighten hardware.I saw some you guys running this look and I loved it.Bingo banggo done.

Does that Lancer lower hold the bolt from the right side too (like the AXTS)... or just release the bolt? (Like the Mega and Seekins)

Good question,I had to go and find out.It release's the bolt only.As a lefty to release with my right hand works for me.

Thanks guys.Really like that handguard it's lite.Eye fukin that dissy.it's got the low pro gas block.Just got to remove Frt. sight and cut out delta assy....hhhmmmm.
