98Z5V
Been kicking around the idea of building a version of a Squad Designated Marksman Rifle, the SDM-R. I'd stay very true to the design, and just change a few things that I like to run. This long little bastard could get very expensive, very quickly, so that leaves me up in the air on it. I've already got a badass 20" 5.56 precision rifle, the YHM upper, lower and 1:7 heavy barrel - one of the most accurate 5.56 rifles I have. Then there's the Woody, 20" .223 Wylde rifle. Love that thing. Then the Mk12. 'Nuff said on that. I'm just feeling the need for a SDM-R, for some reason. Changes I'd make would include the Rainier Arms UltraMatch SDM-R barrel, DD Lite 12.0 rail, and a few other things, but it would be damn close. I'd paint the $hit out of it, too, but tastefully. Barrel: What say you? Toss some input in here and let me know.
unforgiven
Bueaty brother WOA has one for $1100.00 w/18" barrel.Compass Lake eng. has one for less than 1k.WOA looks like you'r top pic.I'm sure you could do it for less. <thumbsup>
98Z5V
I'm REALLY itching to run that Rainier UltraMatch barrel, and see what it does. I looked at the WOA barrel already (beautiful), but didn't think to look at Compass Lake. Gonna go see what they have now... By the way, they have THE BEST free-float setup for a National Match A2 build - that one trumps all others in strength - smart design with the modded gas tube. <thumbsup> <thumbsup>

DNP
I disagree. Keep it simple. 9mm, .45, .223, .308, and of course....338LM
Dane Armory
But you would be leaving out calibers like ; 40S&W , 10mm , 357sig And 5.7mm , 6.8spc , 300wm , 338fed Everybody NEEDS a couple of those just to keep things interesting.
