Yup, all looked good, thanks brother!  Man, that 308 buffer is tiny!

I can wait, thanks for the offer though.  If I get the itch too bad I'll yank a stock off one of my ARs.

LOL!  That's just the overflow, that I can't fit with the regular stash.

<lmao>

I might actually get this thing to the range on Friday...........

nice job but your not done yet, i see another receiver there i think. <lmao>

I'll send him a 5-pack of gas tube roll pins to go with that "spare upper" - those damn things are "rifle seeds" that don't need water to grow.  :o  At that point, it'll grow into a new complete .308 before our very eyes...  <lmao>

I can't believe it myself, but this thing has never been out of the safe since I finished it.  Such a fine machine, just begging to go to the range, denied.

I don't think there can be any acceptable excuse for not having had that out to the range by now. I'm sure there was some sort of return policy that stated something to the effect of "if the recipient does not fulfill his filial responsibilities within a reasonable period of time, ownership of said POF lower shall revert to the previous, and rightful owner who will be sure to shoot the poop out of it as god intends" I think I should have been a contract attorney.

Man, the rifle is top notch, handles real well, excellent ergonomics, firing/function was flawless.  Recoil is easily manageable, even in this carbine configuration.

I definitely need a different scope, this was only a 4x, but it was a tack driver at 100 yards shooting off sandbags.  We were using HSM ammo.

Here is my chief instructor test driving it that day...

I swapped that scope this weekend, took the 1.5-4.5 off and put on a Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40.

Yay!  I get to go back out and zero the rifle again.
