  1. Awesome Rene! You know your pictures are going to drive Tom crazy with how much skin you show.
  2. @Cunuckgaucho
  3. Great to see you around @mrmackc
  4. This is the one I have. https://www.bearcreekarsenal.com/17-hmr-20-ss-heavy-1-9-twist-length-blowback-15-mlok-sch-upper.html
  5. Now you can buy this with the LAW folder exclusively at Brownells for the low price of $630. https://www.brownells.com/gun-parts/rifle-parts/rifle-bolts-bolt-carrier-groups/ar-15-aric-internal-carriers-wlaw-folder/
  6. After a trip back to BCA, the upper shoots and functions great. The buffer would get stuck in the receiver extension when I cycled it by hand and with the first round I fired. I had to separate the upper and lower to get it to release. It had plenty of lube. When it came back, I put it back on the same lower and it did the same thing. So I used a different lower and it works flawlessly. The other lower works great with the usual upper (AR57). The 17HMR has a longer buffer, 4.655 inches, with no weight in it. My guess is that the receiver extension on the other lower must be slightly bent that is causing the longer buffer to bind. I shot 20 rounds through it for a function check without issue. The last 2 were the only ones I shot at a target other than water lillie's. This was from about 25 yards with a borrowed and non-zeroed scope.
  7. You followed a procedure similar to what we were taught in school. If you are in the US and hear a horse running in a field, you assume it is a horse before you look and expect to see a horse when you do look. It is not until you look and don't see a horse that you start looking for a zebra. Rule out the most likely causes before you look for the obscure.
  8. Great job Tom! 👍 True diagnostic skills are not common anymore . Too many people are reliant on technology to tell them what is wrong. I was always told in optometry school that 90% of problems can be diagnosed by listening to the patient and asking the right follow up questions. Then you run specific tests to confirm your diagnosis. Nowadays, too many doctors run tests first to figure out which diagnoses are left to consider. Few diagnosticians are left out there.
  9. Awesome set of exercises Al. I need to do the same.
  10. Nothing to see here
  11. Is this truly a DPMS or is it the Tactical Superiority lower you were asking about? If it is DPMS, is it an original DPMS or is it a new Palmetto State version of DPMS? They are different and possibly not compatible.
  12. A quick internet search found them to be not a reputable company. Most comments I saw involved customers not receiving parts that were paid for or businesses not being paid for supplies or services. I doubt that they are in business since I saw an auction listing their name from a capital recovery website that had all of the equipment needed for manufacturing. It was in 2022. I don't know if they were a scam company to begin with or if they got caught up in Covid scamdemic and went bankrupt. Either way, don't look to them for customer service if you have one of their products. If you don't already have one, don't buy one, regardless of cost. I suspect that you have a lower based on your other thread.
  13. Not sure what he means. First, are you having any problems with the rifle? If not, I would leave everything alone. If so, what problems are you having? A detailed list of parts and description of the problem (with pictures if possible) will be needed to have a chance to diagnose and fix a problem over the internet. If you can, ask the guy what he means by magazine deck.
  14. It would be preferable to listening to the rest of the song. No, I couldn't make it to the end.
  15. I'm not saying he's not a legend and a great guy all around from what I have seen and heard reported about him. But that song was bad. It was half Kid Rock imitation and half 80s hair band chorus.
  16. OK, here's some really bad 80s music that was just recorded and released.
  17. You just need to come north a few hours in November and we (wife and I) can take you to the fall shoot. We just have to make sure @392heminut is going to be there as well
  18. @jwb47, how have the matches been going with the rifle?
  19. That was so much better than the red headed troll that I had for US history at TCJC in 1987.
  20. I'll set up shop with 6mm ARC in the desert if need be. I'm sure @DayWalker could use some ammo if he shows up.
  21. These people are still putting out albums.
