  1. Welcome to the forum.
  2. My buddy is an FFL. He told me about this as well
  3. It's great to see that you are still alive and kicking. I hope all is going well with you.
  4. That's heresy! . I thought you were a patriotic American.
  5. AZ memorial is a solemn site to visit. I'm glad I got to go there.
  6. I'm not sure what your budget is, but olight makes some good lights that are not too expensive. https://olightstore.com/
  7. Nice looking rifle. Well done.

  9. That's a great picture. What did he bring home for dinner?
  10. Since @blue109brought this up, we brought a fruit tray and a veggie tray to the shoot a few years ago. @kdawg0124and @edgecrusherhelped devour them when we brought them out. We have always been sure to buy several of these whenever we are there. Some people don't want to have a 12 pound baby after leaving the desert. 💩
  11. I didn't know that Mexico spent people for WW2. The last veteran of Mexico’s relatively small contingent of World War II veterans has died, Mexico’s Defense Department announced Thursday. The department said former Sgt. Horacio Castilleja Albarrán was 98 when he died Wednesday. A cause of death was not provided. Castilleja Albarrán was one of about 300 Mexican soldiers and airmen in Squadron 201, known as the Aztec Eagles, who were sent from Mexico to help in the U.S. war effort against Japan. The aircraft squadron fought alongside the U.S. Army Air Forces in the Philippines in 1945. Mexico was late to enter World War II, but declared war after German submarines sank several Mexican oil tankers. Castilleja Albarrán joined the army in 1942 at age 18 and was trained as a radio operator. He was long retired from the service. He was given a funeral with military honors. 12. I hope to get one or two of them once we get settled on the property.
  13. Awesome dog.
  14. Welcome to the forum. It sounds like you have lived an eventful life. Where do you call home these days?
  15. I found this post from the old AR-10T forum by none other than @mrraley The early Bushmaster 308 rifles were originaly designed by rra. Bushmaster was having to many problems with feeding and the functioning that they decided to drop the line and gave it back to rra. You will find some that they took more time with to get to work properly, but it was more work than they wanted to put into them.
  16. That Bushmaster design was sold to Rock River Arms many years ago. The Rock River LAR-8 is their version. It will take either metric or inch pattern FAL mags. I have several DSA mags that Rex mentioned as well as many RRA polymer mags. All function well in my rifle.
  17. I thought that as well. I looked up Vital Shok. It is a solid copper round.
  18. How many rounds do you have in the mag when hand cycling? I am asking to see if it is one side of the mag that hangs up each time, left or right. Try an even and odd number of rounds in the mag to see if it still happens on the second round or if it is one side of the mag causing the problem.
  19. Great looking rifle!
  20. Welcome to the forum.
  21. I have posted this before. The video is a little older now, but the majority is still valid, especially the part about the vilification of fats.
  22. I wish I had seen this before I threw away the trimmings of the 2 briskets I cooked on Thursday.
  23. The studies that were done in the 50s wanted to blame fat from livestock, as you said. They did not account for the huge increase in smoking that started after the turn of the century, especially during the 20s. Of course, the tobacco companies were covering up their own studies at the time. My grandma lived to be 97 and ate chunks of fat all of her life.
  24. Are you only on the antivirals? If so, ask if gabapentin is an option for you. Susan had a very mild case of the shingles a few years ago. I saw it early and she got on meds the next day. She was given antivirals and gabapentin and it went away quickly with little after effects. Gabapentin is a nerve medication and can have some bad side effects, so ask if it is right for you. Steroids are also a possible treatment for the inflammation. But, again, they're not for everyone.
  25. Here is one on sale for $145.
