With possible exception of a RR LAR-8, this should work well.

If you buy it and it doesn't work, I will buy it from you for what you paid, including shipping to you and to me if needed.
I have first hand knowledge of @Rsquared and his attitude of the area. If you are anywhere close to his level, there must be something in the air around there that make y'all like that. It could be all of the BS flying out of the government bureaucracy. 🐄💩
I am sorry for your losses as well. I lost both of my parents in the last year and a half. It is difficult to move on at times because you want to pick up the phone to ask them a question that they would surely know the answer. As was said, honor your dad by doing something that he would have enjoyed with you. They live on in you and your actions.

Since you have obviously found the waterboarding thread , try to provide as much information as possible when asking questions.
You have some interesting hobbies.
@JVldz12, as @shooterrexsaid, start a thread about your rifle's issues. That said, this cannot be a gas issue. The gas comes from the fired round. You have not got it to fire.
Welcome to the forum. That WW rifle looks pretty good from the little bit I read about it.
I don't recall anyone who has reported on one here. Please give a review of how it works for you. That way others who search for WW 308AR can find an owner's report.
As for the Minimalist stock, I would be concerned about the front to back balance of the rifle with a very light stock. Dropping a few ounces from the back can make it front heavy. I'm not saying it won't work and don't do it, just a word of caution. I like the stock and have one on a small frame AR.
We are now up to 2 cows, 1 heifer and 2 calves. We are having to keep them penned at the moment because of a bad fence. There will be a larger pen for them to wander in the next couple of days.
I only have a picture of one calf at the moment.
