  1. I have 2 different BCA products. One is an 18 inch complete 450 Bushmaster upper that shoots well. I don't have enough ammo to really test it though. The other is a 16 inch 223 Wylde barrel that I built into a lightweight AR for my wife. She was able to hit an 18x36 target at 600yds with 73g match ammo regularly. Yes, some of their barrels have issues with accuracy, but I would have no problem buying another. They have an MOA guarantee and have had (pre-pandemic) great customer service.
  2. Welcome to the forum.
  3. I'm not sure how to take that statement. A happy ending after wrenching on it? ☺️
  4. Awesome job Jim! . Glad she is running well.
  5. Then a 2.5 buffer is correct. It just needs to be heavier. What are the specs on the spring, relaxed length and number of coils?
  6. Trash that buffer. It is too light. You need one that is approximately 5.4oz. What is the internal depth of the receiver extension (buffer tube)?
  7. Welcome to the forum. What is your prospective range? A 16 inch rifle will easily reach 600yds+ on a target. Responsible hunting distance is a different story. Your skill plays into that.
  8. Does @Lonewolf McQuade know you've been holding out on him?
  9. You will get plenty of smoke flavor in the first 5-6 hours.
  10. Our snow is gone and it is 61 at the moment. I've had enough snow for this decade.
  11. Here is a starter kit for one of those RVs. https://www.govplanet.com/jsp/s/auction.ips?msg=57884&#sm=0&msg=57884&m=Stewart+%26+Stevenson&mf=1
  12. Not safe for Canadians?
  13. I don't know if it was as popular as that. I was looking at the images on IMDB. There is an identical still image on the movie's page. A google image search will pull up the answer.
  14. Had I not gotten a great price on my last generator, I was going to get a dual fuel generator that could use gasoline or propane. It was 2/3 more.
  15. Not a bad guess, but it was set in the present time (when filmed).
  16. Nope, it's all terrestrial locale.
  17. Same time frame as the Land of the Lost series and much older than Quest for Fire. And yes, they do look like sleestak.
  18. When the hell did they start naming winter storms? Uri?!?!?!? We continue to closely monitor Winter Storm Uri as it moves across the country and remain committed to keeping our customers, their families and the public safety community connected. https://about.att.com/pages/disaster_relief/winter_storm_uri.html
  19. I do have 2 smaller generators. I have looked at the whole house generator in the past. With the new land, I don't know if I want to put one in the current house. We might not be here that long. One for the property would be a good idea though. I would need a large propane tank. I will start to look at them as we get things moving out there.
  20. I thought there was another one. @willbird has one also. https://forum.308ar.com/topic/19794-6mm-arc-105-pencil-barrel/
  21. As I recall, there are 3 major power grids in the country. There is one in the east, one in the west and one in Texas (mostly). I believe they are all separate and do not send power from one to another. I state that from memory but I could be wrong. I have not heard anything about it, but I can't help but think of a certain person who said they wanted to bankrupt the coal industry. How many power plants were shut down as a result? Wind power is great under normal circumstances but is crap in emergency situations. Too much wind is as bad as too little. There has to be reliable, standby generating power source for the high demand times.
  22. That temp is on my dad's side of the house. It is set at 72. I guess the shelf with the thermometer is in line with a vent. He is 91 and wants to be warm. And, yes Texas is messed up at the moment.
  23. 200 rds of 12G rifled slugs. https://www.sgammo.com/product/12-gauge-ammo/200-round-case-12-gauge-275-inch-rifled-slug-ammo-made-sterling-turkey
  24. Thankfully, we get snow once a year on average. This is the most I can remember since being here, about 15 years. I'm over it and ready for spring.
