It should have been put on sooner. The reccomend 45 minutes prior. I gave it 15. The Crosta was no more juicy than the salt and peppers. The seasoning was good, maybe a little overpowering. Might try it again on another steak and follow the directions. it wasn't bad in any way, don't get me wrong, I just usually go a little more on the plain side for steaks.
  2. Now, there will be some discussion. Like, yourself is technically one word...so we might have to lose the s. Shortens it and makes it easier too!

Yep. Still gotta cross the finish line to get the big check.

For the record, I misspelled the seasoning. It's "carne cRosta" with an R. They came out great. Pulled them at 135. I might not season another filet with that stuff. It's good, but ones with just a little black pepper and sea salt were good too. This stuff claims to make a better crust over direct heat. Might try a little less next time and pan sear it first before it goes out.
  5. Yeah....can't wait to see that in the mainstream. Just tossed all over Facebook.
  6. do you get credit, is that a first? I see that getting used a lot more! Nicely done.

Needed something to make me feel better about losing today. Steak it is. I will try ribs tomorrow. The costa tastes pretty good out of the bag. I can't wait to see how it goes when it's done.

I think I might need a couple filets. Oh look...here they are. Trying oak ridge "carne costa" on mine.

It was a very sad moment. I will head to the corner store and see if I can regain a little happiness.

well...the weather was good, so we went out for a bit. Now I have to throw in the towel. Got the ribs out...had em a little too long. Cut the wrap and they smelled a bit like rotten eggs. 9 lbs of ribs....adios. I will have to pick something up tonight for tomorrow. Got fuel for the smoke daddy. Going to toss it on this afternoon. Rats. Good luck guys. Mail any extras my way.

The kid or baby crying in the one car made me cringe.

Nothing special. Just per the wife's request. Thick cut bacon with maple/hickory/cherry mix. No smoke daddy yet. Gonna need to go get some fuel tomorrow.

Sh!t.....I'm down 10 points already and the game hasn't started. That's San Diego's style though. Wash, next time there's a tornado you should head to the cowboys stadium. No chance of a touchdown there I've heard.

Get under the patio....come on man. I hope there's not a weather category on the score sheet. I call BS and might as well quit now...however, we DID just have floods and tornado warnings! We might have a little rain, but I'll just roll it under cover and watch from inside the house.

I'd take your word for it, but you'll just have to send some this way and prove it... I like sauce, but I like dry ribs.

That's my plan too...same deal, different rub. Meathead's Memphis dust was what I used on the pork butts...not bad.

Damn. Where the hell did you pick up all those smarts? I was wondering about the double tubes on yours. Can't wait to try it out.

It says "cold" right on the side? You calling that guy that runs his torch next to his oxygen storage a moron and a liar!? that's a pretty slick little setup that guy has made. I checked and I have just as much room on the back side of the hopper as I do the front. I'm going with your suggestion to mount it back there.
  21. the scuba diving is to make sure they're all still wearing their concrete shoes? Many other tommy gun collectors were fascinated by the underwater life as well. Sent plenty of scouts to check it out....never heard back from em. Must be pretty nice down there.

About the 4:00 minute mark he talks about the grill. This is the one I have. That's the pump that came with the smoke daddy too.
