  1. Cut it twice and it's still too short! Never thought I'd be able to say that about "winkie"
  2. Damn man, that sucks. Definitely feel for ya and I'm sorry all you can do is spread the word and try to help others steer clear
  3. I vote noveske...it's mostly because of the photo though.
  4. Double protection. I think someone posted a 9 minute video on safes in one of the old threads and after watching how well they held up in house fires I could see why that would be important.
  5. Also. Grab a small fireproof document safe to to throw in the bottom. These safes don't hold up all that well to fire. They help, but aren't really fireproof from everything I've seen. You can throw your cash and paper in the doc safe and it's even likelier to survive being in a safe inside a safe. ETA- by "these safes" I mean these types of safes...not these specific ones

    Coming Soon!

Though I'm not a fan of name changes...I think it's time to update to bubbaBFG.
  7. Good luck! Hope everything heals up fast and you get to go back to having fun ASAP.
  8. Tom, if you need a dune project...we can try to figure out why the rhino feels like she's driving with a brake on. Belt slipping....I don't know. It's going to be a good trip no matter what man. Maybe we can talk Shepp into cruising out?
  9. It'll be clean before it gets there....they are home now. I have two new YTZ10S batteries sitting here...they're going to get fresh oil and filters. Maybe even new air filters. Carbs hosed out and tires inflated...full service. Those bastages WILL run like new when they roll out. No dune surgery necessary this time.
  10. YFZ 450's. Used to be a big fan of the 250R's but got tired of mixing fuel. Rode a buddy's 450 and ran out and bought two of em back in 04. Tom's badass red R was my wife's old bike. It was a pile of stock parts when Tom got it...and now that thing is a monster.
  11. Start shipping that white crap our way. We could use a little up in the hills! That is a great lift. I'm heading up to grab my bikes right now. I keep em stored up at my parents. They have a whole lot more room than I have.
  12. I still want to get my MOE furniture dipped to match the dash on my wife's yukon. Good looking wood you got there Rob. I hope we all get a chance to handle that someday....
  13. Nothing gun related, but my two new batteries for the quads showed today, so I'm excited about that. They're both actually going to start when I get out to the dunes this time!
  14. I ain't mad, just ain't ready to leave. I will probably be forced to at some point. I have a career here for now, but when the rest of the businesses leave and our growth rates goes negative...I won't really be needed. And hopefully 98 will have the race track biker bar gun club brothel. Up and running by the time I need a new home.
  15. Bail, not yet. I can live without the SBR, I can live without the .50BMG, and I can live with the stupid ten round mags and lame bullet buttons. Those would be nice, but in the general scheme of things...they are not my life. All of my family is here, my career is here, and you really can't beat the weather and the location. Wyoming would be nice. I like the idea of moving north and east...but I'm going to have to make some serious changes when that happens. As stupid as this place can get, it's still home. Ten years might change that...we will see.
  16. Me. You're slowly, or quickly, becoming california east.....so you be careful when you chime in. Just sayin. :)
  17. Whoa whoa whoa.....that's waaaaaay inland of my place. Even if there IS a good cleansing needed in my town I would like it to wait until I'm outta town. Then I can come home and help rebuild.
  18. The gun is nice, but how soon does your work need an oven?
  19. Too many dogs and neighbors cross his place for that. Fish And Wildlife have been there for a while now. The pigs are damn smart and show up very randomly. My dad has been given the go ahead to kill by any means necessary...so at least we don't have to wait for them during daylight hours...and he recently found a buddy with a thermal scope. F&W dude runs a silenced AR...couldn't talk him into leaving it with us for a while. The guy has had two of them stolen from his truck though. I bet they're home in a safe.
  20. Just be sure that pen is escape proof. This bastard was in there all night. My dad went out in the morning, saw pig, went back to house for rifle...pig got extra smart and busted free. Coyote wanted to eat the SOB.

That's really not a terrible idea...I like it!

Because it is affordable and people were and still are able to buy up as much as they can. Most can't afford 10000 rounds of even 9mm....but .22....at normal prices that would be around $300. Now you have ammo to shoot for a while until things get back on line. It's still going on because everyone who didn't get on it early is out now and there are a lot of people searching to refill the cabinets. I didn't keep more than a brick at home. It was cheap and easy to find. Never saw that coming...so I didn't keep stock. Doesn't make any difference whether you buy shepps theory or not, and it's not meant to be the exact reason we are here, but he's pretty spot on. No kidding, hook was a .556? The caliber had nothing to do with it. It was the explosion of anti gun BS that flew in the wake of that shooting. Much of what we are dealing with today is a result of that shooting. Cali's attacks on ammunition with the added taxes, limits of number of rounds you can purchase in a month or year, and the registration of ammunition purchased are just another source fueling the madness.
  23. Agreed^^^^ But still...seriously! I was just shot!!! Do you really need to shove a 2x4 through the hole?
  24. I guess if I have been shot I'm going to be a little more receptive to the size of that thing than I am right now! Holy hell, could we get it a little smaller folks!?!
