I quit for today. Took advantage of the fairly full moon last night and was shoveling grass till about 11. Put in some time today getting dirt down to grade. I'm friggin beat. Wish I could afford to rent a bobcat. To make it worse...the dirt trailer I'm going to borrow isn't available till next week...so I stockpiled everything in the backyard. Going to move it twice...blah.

Post it up. It ain't nothin personal. Still can't wait.

I wear tear-aways when I go out with a skirt. Just in case. This thing should be a lot easier to drive in heels than my truck was.

And for the Jeep...the jk was the first vehicle I went to go see. Couldn't justify the lack of a gain on mileage though.

The crosstrek is the impreza with a lift kit basically....and it comes in tan! I was leaning on that one but got a great deal on the ford. Mainly...they are taking my mazda at a great price for what it is.

Add one for BLKSHEEP. Bought his AR15 PRS and he shipped it out fast and even insured it out of his pocket(wouldn't expect that on every future sale...but I appreciated it on this one for sure). You running a 75-300 or the 100-400? I didn't see any over 300, so I'm guessing not the 1-4

Gov and prevailing wage stuff can be the hardest of all to collect. They like to change the rates and publish them 2 months later. Then turn a whole group of people loose to review your records and hold your payment until you play their BS game for under paying employees for the last two months.

They list 47, but I hear it gets about 42. Waaaay better than 15 in the crew cab. Plus, I need that truck to last a lot longer. It's really replacing a Mazda3 hatchback I had. That Mazda has been the source of a lot if headaches for me. A drunk neighbor blacked out and slammed into it a long time ago. It spent 4 months in the shop and the insurance spent 12k to fix a 10k car. Never could believe they didn't salvage title it. Then, last year I went to check the oil and it was 3 quarts low. Turns out its common for the 2.3's to lose an internal seal and start burning oil. Car only had 50,000 on it and I smoked the motor. All aluminum motor low on oil = guaranteed rod knock. Soooo...she's gotta go....and I need something decent for the commute. I may have to sell the 308 now though. I'm feeling a little conflict that I'll be driving a lib machine AND owning guns...

So a little over a month ago, I ordered a 2014 Ford Fusion hybrid. That's right...I bought a greenie car. Going straight past the sales sharks and right to the fleet manager is the way to go. Ordered exactly what we wanted and had a waaaay more relaxed time doing the deal. I just found out today that its in line to be built this coming Monday and I should hopefully have it by the end of the month. I'm pretty excited about it. I've been driving my Duramax to work for quite a while now and I look forward to the 40+ mpg it's supposed to get. In going to see if the wife will let me have it wrapped in RealTree...though I'm betting that's gonna be a hard one to get away with. Anybody here have any hybrid input? This will all be pretty new to me. She's going to be platinum white with tan leather.
