Man I hate the people who originally owned my house. When I started digging up the new driveway, I was looking for our main water line. I know where it comes into the house, and where it comes in from the street...but in between was unknown. I dug some holes to check for the line and found nothing. I was eventually led to assume that they may have actually done something right and that the line must be deep enough. (Unlike so many other projects they did around the home....these folks liked to do it themselves...they just never cared to do it right). So today, as I broke the concrete footing out of the old flower bed that led up the walk....I found the water line. Luckily enough I didn't destroy it. They burried the waterline in the bottom of the footing for the planter. A whole 3 inches deep. I'm glad the concrete was only on top of it and didn't go around the pipe. So...add another piece to the project. So much for just laying some pavers.
