I’ve been running my rifle gas, carbine buffer, non adjustable gas block since 2010. There were many before mine and many after. If you want a collapsible stock, you’re gonna be running a carbine buffer.

I think crossbows fall in the rifle category. I’ve worked with bows over the years. I used to shoot a recurve a lot. I’ve shot my dad’s compound a handful of times. What a great reason to practice. I might start hanging out in the tree stand to get used to it and see how close I can get. Should be able to get in around 15-30 yards. I’ll get cameras back up on our trail. We had 3 come through every night for a while. I scared one out of the bushes last Saturday when I was out pruning up the horse trail that leaves from our property. I should go shopping before they close all the stores again.

Hell yeah! the PA dot is great. We got one of the blem ones for my dad. This one gets sighted in on Saturday and I’m going to run a few different ammo types through it to see if it likes anything better than another. Then I can start to work out any kinks.

We’re gonna need a lot of time. I don’t know where to begin really. Do I start with getting picked last for dodge ball, picked on by evil girls in middle school PE classes, the constant need for approval from a father I seem to always let down, or the crushing weight of every failure I throw onto the pile I call my life....? I was kinda hoping for a PRI.

Guys are happy with their Atlas. I like the PRI on mine. Like I said, favorite is gonna depend on the person, their taste might be different than yours. Really can’t go wrong unless you get a rail height that doesn’t match up with your upper receiver.

The hand guard doesn’t need to be 15” to cover the gas block. I think 12.5” would get you there, but I’d have to measure mine again to be sure. hand guards really come down to preference too. A look you like, a certain weight, any special features? What will you mount on it and how will you mount it. Key mod or M-LOK. So many choices. Thin or fat...you get where I’m going. We could suggest 100 different hand guards.

I posted in the other one you have going. Featureless = grip fin or similar, no collapsible stock, no flash hider (use a comp instead) no forward grip and no grenade launcher (cuz yeah, we all run those). featureless = no need for mag lock. Any of the evil features, needs mag lock of some sort.
