  1. This only get crazier leading up to the fall. This is pent up shenanigans now. If there isn’t an outlet, the shiit just overflows everywhere.
  2. The long hair and clean shave take off a few decades. we’ve derailed another thread, haven’t we. Crap.
  3. Only one so far this summer. And I kill em. There’s plenty more where that one came from. I take the Garfield - Spider approach. Only good one is a dead one.
  4. ...eventually makes it out? You mean...the little nuggets between all the ADD BS? Welcome aboard.
  5. It can get pretty dirty. Especially if he’s all hopped up on the juice.

Damn...that’s a quote for their marketing department right there. “I swear by it, not at it...”
  7. On the bright side, less packaging should mean lower price come Christmas.
  8. Cases...I ordered some of this Eylar cases they have on DVOR right now. Price is right if they’re halfway decent. I’m sure they’re a really nice Chinese knockoff of a chinese knockoff at the price though. 48” hard case for $135? Sure! Pistol cases for $19? Ok...I’ll try a few. I think I have 6 different cases coming. A couple are going to be birthday presents for my dad.

I’ve been looking at cameras again. I think you’re gonna seen 400 minimum for a setup that works. Prices are down from what they were last year....I bet @Lane could whip something up....just sayin.
  12. I’ll sell you one.....cheap.
  13. Some require a little provoking, some require little provoking.
  14. That’s no attitude to have. Crap, there I go telling you what to do again. You’re going to do what you’re going to do. You mentioned Faxon and I replied they make quality barrels. We also shared with you our own personal experiences. If you’re just looking for a list of barre manufacturers that make 20” slim profiles, you’ll be fine if you stick to any bigger names. What drove us to share the information we have is your comment about weight. A rifle is a tool. Build it to best perform the task at hand. In your case, an 18x32 target at 500M. If you really want to save a little weight, put 2 less rounds in the mag...that’s about all you’re gonna save and it doesn’t cost you a dime. I will gladly leave you alone now as requested, but if you ask a question on the internet and don’t get the answer you want to hear, don’t get angry. Just chill out and eat a sammich.
  15. A 14.7” pencil profile barrel will do that all day long. No matter how much you detest it. And will offer you The greatest in weight reduction. Couple that with a lighter optic, handguard and stock...you’ll have a rifle closer to 10 lbs loaded out.
  16. I’m sensing a lot of auto-correct from posting by phone actually. I agree thought. Start a build thread specific to your build and it will be of better use. Start off with a lost of currently owned parts and parts on your wishlist. These guys will have some better input with a full picture. If you’re running an 875 gas block, you’re not headed in a “lightweight” direction. If you’re after “high end” parts and a suppressor, yet worried about barrel life....your budget or expectations need a reality check. Not trying to be harsh, just stating a fact. Welcome aboard. Get that new thread going.
  17. Well I have bad news for you then....you better eat your wheaties. Faxon makes good stuff. What is the weight savings between the barrel you have now and that Faxon?
  18. I feel better. I’m only 40 starting out again. Got one that’s almost 10, one that’s 5 and one that’s 2 months now. We’re figuring maybe a girl when we’re 45.....
  19. If you’re willing to slim up the profile, I’d shorten it up a bit too. 16 or 18 is good. These rifles are heavy. If you want something lighter, a ground up build might be better bang for the buck...literally. how much do you want to spend and how light do you want it to be?

Ok- good. I was a little confused for a bit, but that’s easy to do

Or he thinks this is what I need for my effed up state. Im buying one more AR. It’s a 338 unicorn, but someday I will own it. I think I’m going bolt guns for a while....unless I wind up with a damn 6ARC after this fall.

Good rings and a good scope should hold zero on anything if mounted properly. I like the Vortex I have, I see guys happy with the PA stuff. You might be the first on here with one of those...you get to be the guinea pig.

I have an FN SPR (sorta) bolt gun. This is an auto loader. So as far as optics go, anything you’d run on you 308 AR would be similar. All depends on what you’re hoping to do with it. 20” barrel...if your going longer range with it I’d say something in the 4-16x range would be great.

Why is this up my alley?
