Sure is Hell getting old , but normal to lose that 20/20 vision at some point .
-
You almost sound like you know what you are talking about <lmao> <thumbsup>

Not a 66 ,but the lock key hole is shown. Like was said , they make a new Model 66 & there are much older ones , you can probably tell which it is by the serial number . I don't think the new ones have the Lock , but have not kept up with Revolvers .

Just set goes to the Magnetospeed , thats for sure . I thick Stain uses one of the down loadable kits & hope to hear from him , when he gets out of his Austrian daze <lmao>

NIB is a Coating & I have seen from the very beginning of this type of coating , that some are applied with it too thick , maybe only in some areas of the Part , but enough to make Head Spacing problems . Not saying thats definitely the problem with the Bolt , but something to consider . You can cycle that bolt in the rifle by hand to break it in more to see if it will pass HS.. I know of people who have sat watching TV for hours , just cycling the action to wear in the Bolt to get the " GO " gage to close with the Bolt . Your Nitrided Bolt has no coating . The DPMS Bolt Stop in your Photos , seems to show rubbing marks , could be the BS or the Finnish on the Lower or both , could be why its not functioning properly . The Maga may be made with different spec's <dontknow> You got it going & that's all that matters . Its why there are Gun Smiths out there , this is what they do . This is why the 308AR builds are said to be so different & challenging , it not cut & dry , with MilSpec , all the same spec parts of an AR 15 build , you have to have a little Gun Smith in you when using the wide range of 308AR components .

Nice shooting Jensen , I would have expected no less from your experience . <thumbsup> I will shoot three shot groups for load testing to fine tune charge weight , but mostly shoot five shots for accuracy testing . I have been doing load testing for years now & can't wait to just go out & shoot a confirmed loading <laughs> . I'm no match shooter & not trying to be . <dontknow>

What do you think about the extra width on that trigger ? The machining or Finnish on that Trigger looks much better than the SSA. I can tell you I will not live long enough to get 350,000 rounds with out changing a single spring ( also don't believe the guy in the Video did ether ) but willing to give it a try <thumbsup> <laughs>

The new one's are right up there in price , brand new , not used , I think . You have to like Revolvers to pay that much for one that is not collectable ( yet ), IMO

Big Handgun , I have two in 45 acp, an XD & XDM , two XDM 9mm's , the 3.8 is nice , thinking of caring it , instead of my Kahr PM 45 now a days <thumbsup> , Glock's- 0 <laughs>

I ordered one of these today , getting kinda tired of my RCBS eating Batteries . It was a Christmas gift from the wife . so I had to use it & its worked decent enough , except for the its Battery fetish . I did have to send it back the first year I had it & they sent me a brand new one , can never complain about RCBS's warranty service , they are great if you need too use them . I really can't compare them , because of where they take readings , but I will see how much of a difference between Muzzle & ten feet from the Muzzle . <thumbsup>

Photo's or you don't have one & how's it , we never got them to begin with , in the first place . Is that FCG a secret & you would have to snuff us out, if we laid eye's on it <dontknow> <laughs> We always share ours with you . <thumbsup>

Revolvers are like Gold any more , at least the older ones . I think S&W makes a mod. 66 new version , not sure if that helps an older version or not . If it was a Colt , he could ask just about what ever he wanted for it. They made a lot of those S&W's 66's . I have quite a few older Revolvers , both S&W & Colts & I sure will not sell any of them . It comes down to how bad do you want it <dontknow>

Now, you know he's in on this build. He will be excited as a Tick on a Deer's a$$. <laughs>

Your fifteen minutes of fame <thumbsup>

OK who has built a dedicated 45acp AR 15?

They look like Thompson Sub Machine gun mags.. With out the stops on the sides , they are not Grease Gun or Mac 10 mags. -
I type too slow . They just had an over head live feed , showing two bodies inside the Facility & what looks like an newer Mustang. May be rented & the house this guy lived in is very fancy , big $$$

Clear package , strange they themselves didn't see the condition of this product , I find that kind of odd .

Seems we lost four Marines in a shooting & the shooter is dead . It was at a Naval reserve ctr . Shooter shot up a Recruiting ctr. where no one was shot before he went to the Reserve ctr. Witnesses said he had a big black gun & fired a lot of rounds .You know where thats going ! Truly another sad day . I think if this POS they call our country's leader would have taken out ISIS when they first showed them selfs , this would not be happening . If I have a Bug problem , I kill them all .

Yes , don't forget the low pro Gas Block , you will need it to have the FF Hand guard to go over it , unless you just want a Carbine length FF hand Guard . If you replace that railed Gas Block , with a Low Pro , you can get a FF hand guard as far out as the end of you Barrel. JP 's has some nice ones , as said above , you can add rails if you want , Fulton Armory may still have FF hand Guards that have add on rails also. There are a bunch out there, Google is your friend , see something out there you like & ask if it will fit . In the photo below , both have add on rail at the 12 o'clock position , the shorter Barreled 308AR in front , is an older JP Modular FF HG , VTac , they don't call it that any more , the 20" in the Back is a Fulton Armory ( which I think is made for FA by JP"s ) both rifles have rifle length Gas Systems , Both Hand Guards are 12" & thats why you see the Gas Blocks , your Carbine Gs system will be under a 12' & 9" Hand Guards .

PM him or Her . <laughs>

Looks like he is using hand loads , probably loaded down for lead Bullets , not like someone we know loads them . <lmao> I thought that bbl. looked a little short for 18" .

More than likely you will need to remove the Barrel nut any way for a Free float , but if you like the scope height & it works for you , keep your Upper Receiver , no need to spend the extra cash for a new Upper receiver if the one you have works for you . Yes , you will need a DPMS 308 compatable Hand Guard . An Armalite AR 10 Hand Guard will be different, so keep to the DPMS compatable . A lot of Manufacturers descriptions read AR 10 , but mean DPMS type so you may have to call or email the manufacturer just to make sure . Not sure what you read about the Hand Guard being too tight . Look at the web sight of the Manufacturer for install instructions . You may be referring to a screw on Hand Guard , where it is ,in its self the Barrel nut . If that the case , there is a Torque setting for all AR type rifle Barrel nuts & its its 35 - 50 #'s with a max at 80 # , depends on the Gas Tube path , for it to pass through the Upper Receiver , as said , follow the Manufacturers instructions & you should be fine . Most of the screw on Hand Guards , use a strap wrench to install & no real way to get a true torque reading any way, but again , follow the Maufacturers instructions . It helps to make a post title about what you need info for <thumbsup>

You ask about something & no one here reviewed it , you must buy it & review it , for our consumption . If someone comes up & says they own it & reviews it , your off the hook . We sometimes let new guys off the hook , just don't bet your wallet on it <dontknow> . There is one Member here who said he ordered it , but if we don't hear from him ( and you know who you are <laughs> ) you may need to get your wallet out <thumbsup> Worst case , you get a good trigger & tell us what you think of it . I can't see anything coming from Mark , that's bad .

How were these Magazines Packaged ? Could you see the Finnish on them from outside the Packaging ? Looks like they got back with you with both Emails on the same day . Maybe some one did an inspection of the inventory . I would just call them if I had a issue . I like the way you Hitlery, that's going to stick <thumbsup> I have three 308ARs & yes I have enough for them all , since I can only carrie one at a time . <laughs>

AR 10 cam pin installation
survivalshop replied to Baddfed's topic in AR-10 General, Technical Discussion
Maybe "Mrraley" knows & will speak up . I would look at the Cam path inside the Upper Receiver & see if ether end of the channel is rounded . The rounded end of the Cam pin could keep the BCG from going into full Battery in the Barrel Extension <dontknow> , but as Rsquared noted , try it both ways if you don't see anything in the Cam Channel. It could also be the way it is disassembled , the flat would make it easier to remove the Cam Pin past the Carrier Key or just a visual to index the Cam Pin for Firing Pin install .
