  1. We informed another poster in another thread, about HS & how they could be propriety to the Barrel manufacturer & the poster took offense to it . We have been saying it here for many years , that Barrel manufacturers use one brand or another or has special Gages made to their spec's . . Build & test .
  2. Welcome from Florida , what part you from & Ya , I would stay away from the Political section also
  3. Shouldn't it have a A1 type rear sight , if it was an original AR 10 Upper ? Where did the A2 sight Upper come from , Armalite ? Was the Upper Receiver altered for the A2 Sight ?
  4. I actually feel sorry for the " Thing "
  5. I have no 22-250 brass or loaded ammo to check it for you , I have just about every other Caliber out there , but that one , sorry , maybe someone here does & can take some photo's of how they fit in a LR Magazine .
  6. You typed faster then me I would call to make sure .
  7. So its a Factory Rifle , not someones build .
  8. Brownells has them in stock & on sale , also the other Capacities.
  9. Retro , does that mean it was built to look like an original AR 10 ? Or is it a real original one ? The Rear Sight doesn't look correct for an original , I have very little knowledge about Original AR 10"s .
  10. I was trying to figure that out the whole Video
  11. I agree , probably user error . They keep trying to make Muzzle loaders shoot like a High powered Rifle & as you said a recipe for disaster . The guys at Hunt camp that use these new type rifles & replacement black Powders ( Nice shooting Rifles though ) complain about lack of blood trails with using them . I keep telling them to get rid of the Jacked Bullets & go back to lead Bullets , they can even use a Sabot , but with a Lead Bullet . I never had an issue using real Black Powder & Maxiball Bullets . I do like the new type of ignition systems .
  12. Probably , only way to know for sure is to stuff a five or ten rounder with 22-250's & see how they sit in it . If you have a 308AR , you can seat the mag with them loaded in it & see what angle they are through the Ejection Port. Take Photo's !
  13. This video is just too funny . https://www.infowars.com/a-fat-sjw-walks-into-a-gun-store-hilarity-ensues/
  14. Hope this link works , its a very good step by step of the disassembly & assembly of the M1A . Yes , I reading up before I get my Socom 16 .
  15. You get what you pay for in almost anything . With the AR 15 types , they are using MilSpec components , pretty easy to get them to work properly. It seems they are getting or having made to their spec's , Proprietary components , we don't know what they use for the Receiver's dimensions for the machining of them & that can make any normal LR 308 /AR 10 type components to have issues trying to work with them . It seems to be a crap shoot on what you get , we do have some working just fine . R&D is the key to any production Firearm , for non Gunsmith assemblers , to build these Rifles . It could also be they are in over their head at this time & cant keep up with demand , cutting corners with suppliers or just sloppy Quality Control . Its not just PA , I just read on the M14 forum where some are having issues with a after market builder of M14/M1A 's & they were bringing up QA seems non existent with this Manufacturer ( not SA ) , so it just may be demand & lack of resources ( R&D, personal training , etc ) & the demand for these type Rifles may be contributing to these issues .
  16. New from Sig , I can see this giving the M&P Shield some competition . https://www.sigsauer.com/store/p365-nitron-micro-compact.html
  17. I'm going to shoot the Garand more , to get ready for when I get my my Socom 16 next month . Its been a long time since I shot an M1A & the Garand will fill in till I get to play with the M1A . Including disassembly & cleaning , they are very close in both respects . Come to think of it , i'm not sure I have shot the Garand since I put the new Boyds Walnut stock on it .
  18. Quarter's ? Is that the way we make systems function correctly , what Armorers course is that in , I know , how to jury rig something to get by , if you dont have the correct components or parts The proper Receiver Extension , Spring & Buffer , is the only way to achieve proper & safe function . There is a section on Buffer systems in the 308 section . It describes what to use with what on what . https://forum.308ar.com/topic/597-buffer-tube-buffer-and-buffer-spring/ It seems the PSA system is not a good choice for a Buffer system , there is no need for spacers or Quarters , use the proper length DPMS based system or the Armalite AR system , its as simple as that, they both work just fine , but only if you don't interchange components . The problem is , so many manufacturers or retailers , stamp everything with an AR 10 stamp on its description , so you really don't know what you are getting , Armalite or DPMS systems . The only way to know is to ask where you are purchasing from & if they don't know , ask them for measurements & Spring Coil counts , also the weight of the Buffer . If they don't feel obligated to find this info , shop somewhere else !
  19. Only way to know is to try them . I had an issues , as has a couple others, with the BCG's we got from a Manufacturer that used to sell his products here . My issue was with a new build ,18" Criterion Hybrid bbl. , I had FTE issues till I changed his Extractor out with an DPMS made Extractor & had no issues after that . Thinking it could be just a Bad Extractor , I used another one from this same manufacturer , it was supposed to be better or a newer gen. , but it had the same issues as the original , so I put the DPMS one back in & all issues with FTE went away . There was another here that had issues with same manufacturers BCG & he changed out the Ejector out with an AR 10 one I believe & his issue went away . Many others here had no issues with this Product & its really well made , good looking BCG's , but because of some kind of tolerance stacking between this product & the particular Rifle it was used in , just had issues . Not saying you will have issues with FA products , because I have & still use their components , but you never know with these non spec. builds or rifles, just have to try them & if they are spares , make sure you put them in service for a minimal round count , so you know you can depend on them .
  20. Not sure if this has been posted , but great training film for the operation of the M1 Garand
  21. I normally do smaller batches & run them for 3 hr's , but thats just me , maybe I'm still used to the slower running Lortone , my Thumblers Tumbler runs much faster . I think smaller batches get polished better , what ever you do , don't mix Brass that can stick inside one another , it kinda doesn't do well cleaning the ones inside another Case ? Looks good , nothing like clean brass to load , its a Bling thing !?
  22. What Gas system length ?
  23. Could you measure the Springs & count the coils , also weigh the Buffers & also measure them ( length ) , if I'm not asking too much .
  24. There are no thick woods, rifle , Pistol or Arrows out there , far too many variables . Also too many variables with gun shot or Arrow shot Deer to compare one to another . Yes, if a Deer is spooked already , it may or may not matter , they may be running away down hill , which will help them gain distance , where running up hill ( they almost never do when shot ) will decrease their running away distance . There is no magic bullet , yes some are better in just about every caliber , but its all about the individual circumstances of the shot & the Deer .
