Most criminals are opportunists. Very little fore thought, just act when the opportunity arises. If given the opportunity to snatch your carry piece many may take that opportunity. If you open carry you must remain at a higher state of alert. I do open carry at work and the thought of an attempted snatch is constantly in mind when I'm forced to turn my back on one of the myriad of street thugs that wanders into the shop. I do both and CC is just plain easier.

My prescription glasses are poly carbonate lenes with titanium frame just so I can use them as shooting glasses as well.

Back to work today and picked up my new Diamondback DB9FS. So far just handling, very positive impression. I can't believe I just bought this much pistol for so little money! If it runs good it'll be the best buy ever. Slide milled from a solid billet of stainless steel, metal trigger, frame rails are more than twice as long as a Glock and are all metal, uses Glock sights so a plethora of sights are available for it and they fixed my major Glock gripe, tha grip profile. It feels great in my hands. YouTube videos show it running reliably. PS It has a captured recoil spring on a steel guide rod with built in shock buffer.
