The photographer used forced perspective to make the hog appear larger. The hunter is behind the hog quite a few feet and then using a small aperture setting to increase the depth of field the photographer gives the appearance of a monstrous hog. The hog may well be 500lbs but if the hunter was sitting on the hog the hog would appear much more realistic in size.

Shepherd scopes (are those still made? ) locate a spirit level inside the scope tube. It's always in the bottom of your view. Easiest to use anti-cant device ever.

Compressing springs does not wear them out, cycling springs, compressing and relieving them is what wears them out.

When you're not in control of your carry piece and it's possible that kids could get hold of it then it should be completely unloaded and made safe, but if you're wearing the sidearm and in complete control of the firearm then it should be fully loaded and ready for action.

I've been carrying legally since 1987 and never once have I carried an empty chamber. If the firearm isn't safe to carry fully loaded then it's time to choose a different carry piece.

Ergo Delta Grip for S&W j frame.

This thread inspired me to hunt down new grips for that God forsaken S&W 340PD. I'm a member of the S&W forum and someone recommended a new product, the Ergo Delta Grip. It's really strange looking but supposed to be a real recoil tamer. We'll see.

I own a 2" Chiappa Rhino. Dimensionally, it's not much larger than a j frame but is heavier at 24oz. Unbelievable to shoot. Very minor recoil even with hot 357s. And it's a six shot instead of five but the hexagonal cylinder makes it no thicker than a j frame. That's a 20% increase in firepower over the j frame.

I'm selling them to the boss for $6 per 20rnd box and he's reselling them for $15. I bought 3 cases of that junk and didn't even make it through one case before I gave up on it. I thought I'd gotten rid of it all until I found some while searching the shed for 5.56.

Those black bullets and nickeled cases are rather striking.

Digging through the shed for 5.56, come to find I have several cases of Winchester and PMC, and came across a couple ammo cans of 308, mostly loose Black Talon rounds. I don't even own a 308 any longer and have no plans to acquire one, so I told a co-worker about them. How much should I charge him?

It's not, it's Parker-Hale threading but I have an adaptor to 1/2x28.

The only threaded barrel I own is a CZ 452 Varmint in 17HM2. Will that can work with 17HM2?
