  1. ISIS has the grinders out as I type. McCain brought them a poop ton of surplus matech rear sights and they don't fit the EOD SBRs Obama funneled to them through the cartels. Now they know how to make them fit. Thanks Tom. Also, KAC 200-600 rear fits a CASV as well, but it has that little cutout so it doesn't flow very well. It fits perfect under a PRI or ARMS swan sleeve though. The angle on the front of the mech looks similar to the one on the KAC.
  2. They are pricey. Bought both of mine used for around $40ea though. Was a guy on egay selling them used for $38 recently. po' folks be hustlin lol.
  3. I'm using GG&G on both my CASV guns. Fits perfect. Even the profile matches up. Using KAC on my swan sleeve. Looks like the profile of the mech might work for both, just worried about a gap.
  4. Can you measure the distance from the front of the sight to the bolt? Looks like it will fit a swan sleeve or the raised rail of a CASV.
  5. His post says dpms/dpms and Ares/Ares.
  6. The end plate keeps the extension from spinning. Also probably don't want to torque the steel castle nut right up to the aluminum lower.
  7. First world problems
  8. Sounds strange to have this issue with two builds using different parts. I'm wondering if they are just really tight as new builds tend to be? Will they lock on the dummy if you let the bolt slam?
  9. I see what you did there
  10. Nice! Best wishes man. From what I understand the prepper conv. In Phoenix is pretty big.
  11. Spending bazillions for marginal gains (or none at all) is what we do best. I took a pretty cool color theory class. The professor showed us for the most part, the only time we see black is when we have painted something black. Most "black" in the world is just dark colors. Black starts to stand out more than neon orange. We had to do a lot of exercises painting shadows, roads, windows and things like that without using any black. Manipulating perception is pretty interesting.
  12. I'll take that plastic car stock. And I just passed right through your neighborhood too!
  13. I want one of those 10 rd waffle mags! Also..... Burn.
  14. Google counter sniper scopes. Another brand who spent a lot on marketing to make people think they were getting "military grade" equipment. This forum is the first time I've even heard of Shepherd scopes. Probably not the only one. 98 and stain have been there and done that. If these scopes were used with any regularity in official capacity, they would have seen it. Not saying they aren't good, or that they didn't have the potential to survive real conditions, or that one was never used. I'm just skeptical it happened enough to disrupt civilian sales
  15. Few major multi state riots sparked by "racist" law enforcement and you trick the masses to DEMAND they bring in the blue helmets.
  16. I got stuck detailed to an airfield for a short while. Thought it was gonna be a sham job. Then they brought us little white aerosol cans and rags and pointed to an E2. Said get to scrubbing army. I hate that plane forever.
  17. That's what crye gets for being greedy.
  18. I've seen it posted that the only difference in the timney 308/556 triggers is hammer weight. My 556 Tim won't fire my old Indian surplus. I've read people saying the 308 trigger fires anything. The internet is the internet so who knows how accurate that is. I'd like to get a 308 trigger and run them back to back on crappy ammo to see. Better yet, I'd like to get rid of this 300 rounds of old crappy ammo and never buy it again and not care anymore.
  19. Nice! Only issue with DDLES has been getting one. This is cool.
  20. That's why I don't buy adjustable triggers lol. Plug & play is how I roll. Sure glad my 308 ran from the go. Ain't nobody got time for troubleshooting.
  21. Nice. Trying to be somebody!
  22. Agree. I'll correct noobs in here because that's why we're here. On a normal gun forum, if someone is asking a question or giving incorrect advice I'll step in. Doesn't get me worked up either way. That seems like a pretty minor slip anyway. Many people who post about LR308s have the 24" target guns, possibly confusing some to think that is the nomenclature.
