Spending bazillions for marginal gains (or none at all) is what we do best.
I took a pretty cool color theory class. The professor showed us for the most part, the only time we see black is when we have painted something black. Most "black" in the world is just dark colors. Black starts to stand out more than neon orange. We had to do a lot of exercises painting shadows, roads, windows and things like that without using any black. Manipulating perception is pretty interesting.
