so he prescribed all that work based on scratched cases huh....guy is either an AR guru, or a hack that just throws new parts at guns until it works again.
been meaning to do this for a while. since I can't update the OP because noobs keep getting butthurt and erasing all their posts :O
swapped to a Timney 4# trigger. A1 length stock.
this rifle doesn't like 55gr anything for some reason. was getting terrible groups with all the ammo I put through it, including some nice 55gr ballistic tip Winchester. finally bought a bunch of different types of ammo and came out happy. she loves CBC 77g OTM (mk262 clone ammo) and was keeping 5 shot groups at .75moa pretty easy. 75g TAP opened a little, but still under an inch @ 100. big surprise was win .45g jhp was grouping nice. time to stretch her out a little now. this was off the bench on a bipod. I'm not much of a rifleman, so pretty happy with this.
I'm not too worried either way. this ruling will certainly cut down on the YouTube commandos drawing unnecessary attention and the whole thing will probably blow over. I don't plan on hanging out with ATF agents at the shooting spots, and I doubt any AZ LE would give a crap. IF by chance someone gets locked up over this, than ATF is going to have a hell of a time in court. according to this...shooting a pistol with two hands is remanufacturing it into a AOW and requires a stamp. not gonna fly without some clarification. everyone needs to nod and smile and make sure no more "clarification" is forthcoming.
ha, my buddy (who was out at the Tucson shoot) has a home made rigid frame, springer front, suicide shift, no front brake, and exposed chain. they call it the meat grinder lol.
yea, they tilt. def. original colt followers in there. I ran them all at the range and they.work fine. 2 of them even had these goofy 5rd limiters in them. just u shaped metal pieces. crazy how these things still work like new after all this time.
I scored some old school colt 20rdrs recently.some are obviously ancient. they have aluminum followers and are marked .223. a few I was thinking of selling/trading off but I'm not sure if they are the coveted "preban" status. they are standard colt 5.56 floor plates. they have black plastic followers. there are no markings on the outside of the mag bodies and they are stamped OKAY inside near the top. no dates or anything else. anyone able to drop some knowledge?
