lol, I bought a few MNs when they were $60 at big 5. have a numbers matching 91 locked up in cosmoline, gave a 91 to father in law as a bday gift, and chopped up a 44 into a scout rifle. most expensive part is the Burris pistol scope I got on Ebay for $100. suppose I could put it back to stock, but I gave away the takeoff parts to a guy doing a resto on an old one.

I keep thinking one of these might be cool for a pistol build.

not too many shops I hate. ctd and troy are the only ones who come to mind that are on my no- fly list. putting a little cash in your pocket is ok in my book, ctd just did it dirtier than most. part of the blame falls on us for letting it happen though. I can happily say I didn't buy anything overpriced during the stupid.

hippies and brutal summer aside, I love Tucson. this trail head is about 40 min. up the hill from my front door. I'm probably 20 min. away from the base of the catalinas. if I drive 20 min west I hit Tucson mountain park and it's 100+ miles of trails. 20 min east the rincons with tons of 4wheeling and lots of great shooting spots. if I head south for 40 min I can get into some wild territory in the Santa Rita mts. I can hit the san diego beach in 6 hours. flagstaff forests in 5. don't get put off by the "desert" part.

they didn't just hike prices.... just days after sandy hook the canceled tons of orders so they could reprice. they posted PMAGS at $99 each. everyone laughed, until other retailers started following their lead. it snowballed and within days magazines were worth more than gold. anyone who kept the price normal was instantly bought out, and those mags were then put on gunbroker and every other classifieds page for insane prices. the same thing happened with guns and ammunition shortly after. in my option, CTD was the pebble that started the avalanche.
