OPFOR baby. 1/11ACR. Counter recon platoon. also licenced on T72, MTLB, BTR 70, BRDM, ZSU23-4....however the BMP was my favorite. Like a racecar. 5 speed manual. Steel track would powerslide anywhere. Nothing like blasting 75kph straight cross country open hatch wearing nods in the middle of the night.

Depends on the tank I suppose. I punched a red tent stake through the hull of a m551 Sheridan. Not very confidence inspiring. I drove a Russian BMP1 for a few years and parts of that baby felt pretty thin.

Yea parts. I can't lock it all down for a few days. I used some hi temp engine paint and I need to bake it in after it cures. Im really liking how this thing is coming out though. And stupid cheap too :)

I would think the only way to time it would be with shims of some sort.

Lol. My buddy has a custom car/bike/lowrider shop. (google BSG customs to see some cool stuff) his buddy has the machine shop and lets him play around in there when he's not too busy. Got my barrel nut. The FSB was suppose to be here today so maybe tomorrow. :( other than that were ready to rock.

I looked really hard at that barrel. Ended up with a RA select. the weight difference was small. Either is probably more accurate than I am. My other 308 was a rifle length and wouldn't cycle wolf or my crappy surplus while the new gun eats it like candy. On top of all that...it was on sale and saved me over $100.

The problem is that there is no standard so the aftermarket is just doing its own thing. I know jp stuff is good when it works...but its picky and seems to like certain combinations. it is possible to build a balls out reliable 308 if that is your goal.

I can't fathom why they used proprietary parts on this gun. It would have been such a hit in SR25 pattern. Does the community really need yet another 308 standard?

My concerns mostly involve critters since I generally ride off the beaten path. I also crash alot..and hard...on rocks. I usually just keep my P22 in my pack.

Those were mid length gassers weren't they? I'd really love to see an original cut down M16.

My duty gun is a M&P 40. I tried not to like it...but darn it I love the damn thing. I've shot nothing but perfect qual scores since we upgraded from the 4046s . I can only imagine the pro with a MRDS being awesome. Only thing I don't like is the mag safety and having to reach in and flip the little arm to disassemble( ruger-esq) but my buddy has one and removed both of those annoying items with minimal trouble.

I would keep it on a shelf! just put some tape or something on it so there's no mix ups. Its pretty interesting. I posted it on some other forums with no answers.

Basically a 16" with a full rifle length sight radius. Its a concept of yesteryear that has become pretty much obsolete with modern AR accessories. But like the SPR, its kinda cool, and people still build them.
