8 hrs of light but steady usage. Battery bar hasnt moved at all. Totally clear all day. Got stepped on a little once and bumped it to ch2. havnt played with the privacy settings yet. Was using it for coms while I was working, and as an intercom since im in the back of the truck most of the day seperated by a bulkhead and window. Its brain numbingly loud In The back of that POS truck but the radios didnt transmit background noise and were plenty loud. It worked better than the actual intercom that are hardwired In to the truck (but are usually broken) didnt get a chance to try them at range but maybe tomorrow since I have a few malls to service. So far so good.

Just arrived last night and im going to try it out at work instead of the bulky Motorola junk we use. Impressions so far are good. It has cool features without being overcomplicated. Says 38 mile range unobstructed LOS with full power. Uses a battery pack that charges fast with a usb. Can also use AAs. Says 15hr usage on a charge. Very clear so far. Way better than the company radios. Way smaller and lighter. Ill be updating this as I get use out of them. Could be cool when you are out setting up those 400+ yd targets?

While the school walkout crap is certainly cause for concern and indicative of a massive indoctrination effort, I think it is being overhyped. Those giant crowds were majority adults. The same adults who are at every leftist sheep-feed. Of the kids who were there...most of them dont have any emotional investment either way. They just want to skip school and pretend to be relevant for the day. For every highly publicized screetch fest, there were 10 schools that didnt partake, but that isnt newsworthy. Most of those big walkouts happened in places that are ragingly anti gun anyway so its just another echo chamber.

Ok....the time is drawing near to buy a new system. My ancient roof mounted dual unit is dying and costs a fortune to run. My house is 2600 sq ft, but only about 1200' is plumbed in. the rest of the house consists of the pool room and a huge family room that has its own evap cooler and a big stone fireplace for winter. The big rooms are not ducted in, but have large sliding glass doors into the main part of the house. I know nothing about this stuff and id like to have an idea what im looking at before I start calling for estimates. Give me some places to start researching. are split units better? How much $ damage am I looking at? Brand recommendation? Roof vs ground mount?

Had an amazon gift card. I seem to remember lots of small AR parts on amazon but pickins are slim now. Ended up ordering a Proctor Way Of The Gun sling. Seems perfect for a KISS gun. 1.9oz, and paracord attachment loops. 14.5 Barrel and all other parts for the carbine are in route. Just need a BCG, but I can borrow one from another gun for now so no worries. the A2 will probably be shelved for a while. Parts of these builds that came from forum members: Both uppers, carbine buffer, M4 stock, rifle buffer/spring/extension, A2 stock, one grip(actually have a few grips from you guys but probably using a standard on the A2) carbine handguard, charging handles. Team effort.

When I was stationed in GA for a year we went to WH at least 4 nights a week. Damn things are everywhere! Sometimes within sight of each other. We would close the clubs down..swing over to the nearest WH for coffee, hash browns and regroup. ..and then figure out where the after party was. Crawl back onto base at 430ish, sleep for an hour and out to PT formation. Those were good times.
