Yup. Been bringing an extra mag since the election. Planning on rolling the 14.5 with coupled mags starting Wednesday. not many benefits to my job but it's nice to have a firearm vault in the office...and coworkers who are stoked, not offended, when you bring guns to work. I wish a mufuckr would.

Which upper do you have? Many 308 forward assists don't reach the serrations anyway and just push on the carrier shoulder.

Remember those dudes Shadow Ops who were doing that multi-cal can thing and ended up bailing on everybody. Some local SOTs managed to get a few of them running salvaging parts from incomplete kits and reported that they were crap. Hardly any sound dampening.

I've read statements from FN that they designed it that way. Not sure if it's CYA bs or they really did it on purpose. Something about magazine retention I think I saw it posted in here. .but there are videos of the empty magwell flexing inward in hot weather. Might also cause the mags to be tight. FN says the wide high cap mags forced them to make the grip area thin, but that it is still strong and no danger of breaking.

Hit myself in the face with a wrench so done for the day lol. With that said...it came apart amazingly easy for a 30yr old 4x4. Gotta love az. No rust at all. While I was under there I found some sensors on the trans with burnt up wires from falling on the exhaust. Guess they aren't important lol. I'm guessing temp/pressure sensors? I'll worry about it tomorrow.
