  1. Probably won't need adjustable gas on a dissy even suppressed. I'd save the money until I tried it out with a standard setup. Less to troubleshoot out the gate in case you have issues.
  2. Someone just had a 7mm08 DPMS upper for sale on the local classifieds.
  3. This close knit group might be a little more receptive to a first post saying " hi fellas, here's my rifle but I had the following issues with the trigger...." As oppose to " Hur dur this piece of crap trigger will cause global warming and Aids and if you got one to work you must be an idiot!!!!" Just saying.
  4. Just found out I work with a guy whose dad does the laser engraving on those. Time to act friendly and try and get a good trigger deal :)
  5. When keepin it real goes wrong
  6. One thread before ban! Not too shabby lol.
  7. "Picked Last for Kickball" AR? Hey bruh, I just finished my CA compliant PLK. It's hella sweet bruh.
  8. The boca and kale crowd are just useful idiots. The ones behind taking our rights are sitting in gold thrones enjoying everything they don't want us to have in massive excess. And big lol at a handicap AR for $3500
  9. That's only a good piece of info to people who are already against these idiotic restrictions. The people behind these idiotic restrictions will actually consider that another plus. One more safety feature they didn't even consider. Another round of Cognac and cigars for their foresight.
  10. Problem solved. You're welcome CA
  11. There usually is....but it's not a far stretch to imagine ATF shutting someone down for selling freeze plugs and solvent adapters. Constructive intent is a huge pile of BS. it's thought crime. It shouldn't have any legal backing.
  12. I've never gotten rustled up about flag burners. I think it's like using certain ethnic slurs...it's ugly and not something I do, but if people didn't get so wound up about it, it would go away on its own. People do these things to get a rise out of the other team. If you remove the outrage, you remove the symbolism. The act looses its power.
  13. He said he wants to take on the federal issue without clouding it with state laws. selling to ban states adds another opening for them to come at him, so he wants to take them on in stages. Once he forces the ATF to admit they are not firearms, he can concentrate on the state issue
  14. Even just a simple "neck" gets the point across 'round chere
  15. Sale page for the lowers if anyone is interested...with more detailed explanation of the situation. https://www.guntraband.com
  16. He served them with a lawsuit for the missing 18. His card processing company has frozen all the payments. Hes working in other electronic methods now, and taking money orders as well.
  17. @beantown...blackhorse? Oh, and here's a T55 towing a T72 to keep this derailment awesome
  18. Or showing up at the ATF office in a cape trying to sell agents 80% lowers Or when his shop was under surveillance and he ordered a bunch of extra large anchovy pizzas and had it delivered to the van out front He's like a Modern Age 2A folk hero
  19. for those not following along... Dimitri karras formerly of ares armor fame went live with his 80% lower sale today. Background: ATF raided his shop in CA and confiscated 6000 lowers they said were illegal firearms. He sued them and they were forced to return the lowers but warned him they are still illegal firearms, and he will be arrested if he sells them. His position is that if they are illegal, why did he get them back? Why did the ATF hand over 6000 illegal firearms to a guy with no FFL and no paperwork. he decided to risk his freedom and loudly challenge the ATF. he has advertised his intent. He tags ATF in all his threads, and asks others to do the same. He has been posting his intentions on the ATF Facebook page. He wants This to go to court. This evening the sale went live. It only took 30 min for his Facebook page to be shut down and his credit card processing site to deny his transactions. He's posting from a backup fb page and the guntraband page. He is a USMC combat vet and a family man laying all down for liberty. If you want to see a 2A hero.....Google him and read up. of particular amusement is his $1 lawsuit against the city of San Diego and it's sheriff. https://www.guntraband.com https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100014411314349&ref=m_notif&notif_t=like https://m.facebook.com/Guntraband/?tsid=0.6139697172927499&source=typeahead
  20. I know optics have that point of diminishing returns...but my bros $2000 Swaro 10x binos are just amazing. I see the milsurp Steiners used online now and then for decent deals. One of these days I'll snatch a pair.

  22. It will be too long. You need the 308 rifle spring and buffer.
  23. Just looks like a standard A2 stock to me. Uses a standard rifle receiver extension(buffer tube), rifle buffer, and rifle spring. If it's A2 it will need the little spacer at the end of the buffer tube. If it's A1 than it doesnt use the spacer. Other than the spacer, the extension, buffer, and spring are the same. brand shouldn't matter.
  24. Thought I should update this. As I mentioned before, this gun wouldn't cycle steel cased ammo. I checked the gas port and it was snug on a 3/32 drill bit (.094ish) The consensus of the interwebz is that a 16" rifle gas barrel should be around .11 to run reliably so i opened it up with a 7/64 drill bit. I didn't have any steel to test, but rifle ran great on my wolf gold and federal 55gr stuff. Didn't notice any loss of smoothness. Still feels silky. I'll update whenever I try some crap ammo.
