  1. Damn straight! Dude's at the airport next to our range build A-4s...they almost have a Blue Angels replica put together. Sale of that will surely finance much of their other projects.
  2. A sport, yes...but not shooting. Kinda like the difference between model railroads in your garage and the ones people build you sit on to travel around their yard.
  3. Enough parts to build a couple of good ones?
  4. Another welcome from AZ!
  5. Man that could have turned out so much worse. Glad you dropped and rolled!
  6. Got a report forwarded to me via Tucson PD route. A Glock Ka-BOOM with this ammo. "4/7/2015 12:57 PM >>> A recent issue regarding 40 S&W reloaded ammunition purchased from "Freedom Munitions" caused significant damage to an issued duty weapon. As you can see in the pictures, the round suffered significant overpressure upon being fired resulting in the case webbing and primer blowing out venting the chamber pressure into the magazine area of the weapon. The trigger, magazine release, slide stop lever, magazine and extractor were all damaged and ejected from the weapon as well as the frame cracked at the magazine release slot to the trigger slot. Inspecting the remaining rounds in the box of ammunition I found quality control issues with rounds having varied seating depths. An online search of the manufacture showed a number of complaints from shooters about quality control issues and damaged weapons. As a result, Freedom Munitions ammunition is NOT to be fired in any department weapon. I will be developing a list of practice ammunition manufacturers that can be utilized in department weapons. "
  7. It's a cool plane and good platform...but not as glorious as the go-fast jets. Same reason the USAF brass is trying to ditch the A-10 right now...despite troops on the ground DEMANDING it stay in service.
  8. Wow. This dude will never live this down. Ever.
  9. Matt! MG can test for you! <lmao>
  10. Awesome! Glad to hear it Matt! Wait...drug test?
  11. Great article on the Bronco! Also a glaring commentary on red tape in the Pentagon and Washington. http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-amazing-ov-10-bronco-was-never-allowed-to-meet-its-1695837367/+nicoleconlan
  12. Bill's dead, no family members even associated with the day-to-day decisions anymore. As soon as the family had no more say they sold Mini14s with 20-round magazines (previously LE-only) and really started putting out what people had been requesting.
  13. Sounds like a great day!
  14. Welcome from AZ!
  15. Welcome from AZ!
  16. RE: Compressed (powder) loads, make sure the powder manufacturer doesn't have any warnings against compressing the powder you are using. There are a few which expressly advise against compression.
  17. Not to mention, Canada is either going to or just did scrap their long-gun registry and is looking to scrap the handgun registry also.
  18. Well that is a meaty link! Thanks!
  19. Coming together with perfect timing! The roast is done. After defatting/deveining/defunking and shredding, back into the slow cooker. With one onion, some roasted garlic, and the remainder of the fire-roasted green chiles.
  20. Cheese is in the double boiler, cooking up the salsa now. Had to substitute crushed red pepper instead of dried chilitepins. Those things are over $5 for a tiny baggie!
  21. Getting a couple of dishes ready for potluck at the inlaws' tomorrow. The roast in the slow cooker is the start of green chile shredded beef. Only salt and black pepper at this stage. Still have to add onion, garlic, a couple of home-roasted tomatos, and... Home-fire-roasted green chiles! Which will also be the central ingredient in the chile con queso. Maybe second to the queso. This is the one which I told a good friend "Try this," and half a bag of corn chips later he pointed at the pot, saying only "Heroin!" Someone else stepped up to bring "tortillas". Pretty sure that means 15-ingredient Guerrero or Arizona Brand flat bread products. We'll be going by Anita Street Market to get authentic 4-ingredient tortillas as insurance. Hot in the package, right off the stove. Sometimes too hot to touch.
  22. Love it! Has a classic battle rifle look to it!
  23. Very nice! Are those the Choate accessories that 98 recommends?
  24. <laughs>
  25. Welcome from AZ! They also can get Polytech M14s (or at least could, WELL after Clinton banned their importation).
