Boils down to training. Is hucking rocks considered an illegal use of physical/deadly physical force? Yup. Should an alternative use of force been employed by police? Probably. From everything I've seen, POST has been watered down to "If there is a threat that could cause serious injury, shoot." Heard it from multiple training officers locally. When I was a kid, the local LE used to take down rock throwers by tackle or other means. What changed? <dontknow>

I like the Heine Straight-8 night sights. They come in a Ledge version for most pistols, so as to rack the slide/clear malfunctions one handed, as others have mentioned.

Soldiers and veterans won't die off. I just got back from shooting with a Vietnam vet that's full of piss and vinegar. We've been at war for something like 210 years of our 240 year history. What will kick it off is overbearing arrogant puppets...much like the one in office now.

Started the girl out on pistols, a Ruger MKIII Hunter, at age 4. Two hands, left to steady, right to pull the trigger. All on top of a sandbag. Started her on the rifle later that year, a Cricket (garbage...get something else), with a Rossi Youth Combo a year later. Next month she's joining up with the local Scolastic Sports Shooting Club, the pistol team!
