  1. I have a friend who coordinates policy training and implementation for State Farm. I'd be happy to forward any question to them.
  2. That's interesting, Ben. Saw where Smith sued the military for copying their design and not paying royalties. They sure seem to work well on both Rock River LAR-8s.
  3. Don't know how I can help but let me know if you need it.
  4. I believe all load data is conservative, as are the scales on volumetric powder dispensers. Lawyers run the show these days.
  5. The Art of WHAM!
  6. /\/\/\/\ That'll make it easier for Tom!
  7. Impressive!
  8. A different beast but my Marlin 795 has a plastic hammer of some sort…and a helluva spring on it! Several bricks of ammo and still going strong.
  9. Oooo…that's going to be fun!
  10. You have to place a small hole in a banana hammock, so it trails out a solid line of white powder. Then when they get close, eyes fixed on the package…CLINK!! Handcuffs baby!
  11. Ever see the video of stomping on Ruger's polymer trigger group? Stuff is strong.
  12. Just turn it upside down.
  13. And who makes that latex sling?
  14. If someone wants to pay for a label, let them. My buddy's Mom used to shop at Table Talk because of the customer service. She bought a bread machine there for $275 (back in the early 1990s). Saw the exact same machine a couple of months later at a factory outlet for $99.
  15. Don't know if we'll all fit…but welcome aboard the Ronbus!
  16. Look at the events that feed the crazy conspiracy talk. Bushmaster built good quality AR rifles, so did DPMS, and Remington too. Freedom Group buys them and quality control is the first penny-pinching project. We started sending back 870s and M700s on a regular basis not long after Remington was purchased. Then the reports about DPMS, then Bushmaster was like day and night before and after their purchase. Same with pre-Remington Marlin rifles. Not that they don't turn out good stuff but the people that get a crap firearm bitch pretty loudly. So that turns into "George Soros owns Freedom Group and is intentionally ruining the guns!" Which turns into "Obama is declaring martial law so he can get a 3rd term!" (the same was said about Bush) Start hitting yard and estate sales. These old dudes that are hoarding die and you get to hold up a sealed keg of Varget saying "Will you take $10 for this?"
  17. Someone just posted a photo of a .300 BO fired in a 5.56 bull barrel. Rifle was hosed, barrel looked pretty good. They did a cut-a-way on the barrel and the .308 bullet had stretched out to about 3"! And sized down to .22 of course. Incredible!
  18. You can always make your own. Recycle primers too.
  19. /\/\/\/\ Yup. Did the same thing with the Winchester LP Magnum primers when there were ZERO other types of primers available.
  20. Yup. And then moving to New Jersey…banned there on many, many levels. "Two or more features". This has ALL the features!
  21. I can see your neighbor now, wishing he had a halbred instead of the rake! <laughs>
  22. I've been saying this since the Clinton regime. Consolidate the major gun makers under corporate umbrellas, give them HUGE military contracts and who gives a shite what the 2nd Amendment says? "Stop selling firearms commercially and you will get this $500Billion contract for satellites. Don't stop and we cancel your current contract for cruise missiles." For those that have seen Waco: Rules of Engagement, this is exactly what the feds did to CBS (via parent company Westinghouse) when 60 Minutes was going to run the piece showing the IR film of FBI agents shooting Branch Davidians, trying to escape the fire. Think ammo availability sucks now? Wait until three years after mega-corps quit selling arms and reloading components to civilians, in order to keep their contracts. Trivia: How many powder manufacturers supply the total market? How many primer manufacturers supply the total market?
  23. Many are, many are not. Past few times I've been there, the truck has been late and came on Sunday, when the SW students are on the range.
