  1. Thanks Tom, came to that conclusion already. Rokon! <laughs> Jon
  2. Happy birthday Rene! Cold planet? Move out here to AZ bro! <laughs> We'll hook you up with warm goooooood! Jon
  3. Interesting thread. My 20" RRA to me has more recoil than the 16" RRA, both LAR-8s. <munch> Jon
  4. Brownell's and MidwayUSA also sell a buttstock extension (DPMS make I believe), that pushes the PRS back far enough to work the cocking handle. That is the way Spaniky's is setup...I think. Jon
  5. Welcome from AZ ccwebb! I'm also happy with my RRA LAR-8s. Jon
  6. Alright all you dirtbikers...who has experience with these AWD dirtbikes? Jon
  7. EXACTLY!! I don't care if you guys see my tits though. Jon
  8. 2400 has a great and long reputation...but it doesn't hold a candle to Lil' Gun! Lil' Gun will get you the same velocities with 1/3 lower chamber pressures and less felt recoil. I've done .45 Colt loads with up to the max Red Dot and still lots of room to go Lil' Gun loads, using 300gr JHPs. The LG I want to say I stopped at 19.2-ish gr, due to running out of space in my work-up box (one powder weight, skip a row, another powder weight, skip a row, etc.) One reason I like the Bisley grip more than the plow handle, it is easier to get a good grip for my hands. Would like to get some custom grips by Esmerelda. Or Esmerelda! Jon
  9. C'mon! At least they can put a "gut-relief hole" in 'em! <laughs> Jon
  10. Just tell yourself "I don't need alimony payments. I don't need divorce lawyer fees!" <lmao> Jon
  11. Very cool but...but... Those mag pouches look suspiciously .223-sized. Do they make them in men's sizes? <thumbsup> Jon
  12. Oh...I can't tell sarcasm yet. My kid is still in the single digits. <laughs> Jon
  13. I've only used it on new rifles that were a bit dry. I like them...every other action type out there has some method of forcing lockup, why shouldn't these? Jon
  14. Won't be long until someone figures out how to 3D MIM, then boost that up to 3D welding or such. Jon
  15. I think you misunderstood. He is saying that the functional plastic lowers have been made on CNC machines (although I thought they were injection molded ala GLOCK), and that the only ones that so far made with 3D technology are only .22LR. As far as the accuracy of 3D printing my understanding is they can get it down to 0.002", which is comparable to mass production machining. Jon
  16. I was surprised Romney brought up Solyndra's failing...multiple times. "90 years worth of oil company tax cuts to a failed green energy industry, like Solyndra." Obama was flustered...especially so when he hit the microphone with his hand. When people bring up the earbuds, I think about Bush debating Kerry. He was countering a point and half turned his head mid-sentence saying "No no no! Let me finish, let me finish!" when there had been no audible interruption. Hopefully Obama will have someone on the other end of his like Bill Ayers or Reverend Wright. Jon
  17. ^^^ Sadly many of them have no idea, gleaning only that which they were taught at academy...not unlike the FNG showing up in 'Nam. Much of what did in the past make the news is simply being ignored by Obamedia...shoot outs on our interstate highways between rival traffickers, 3/4-ton vans with 25 illegals getting pulled over (they scatter like roaches when the lights come on), hunters and hikers being shot at. Routinely bundles of marijuana are found just left in the desert, either alone or in abandoned vehicles. Steal a car/truck/van from Phoenix or Tucson, jet into Mexico and load it up, race back with a $$$million$$$ load for $1,200 and a guarantee they won't rape your daughter and son in front of you...or worse. Still better than Connecticut. <laughs> Jon
  18. I bet your canvas was thrilled. <lmao> Jon
  19. Not so much them as the drug runners and illegal immigrants, or the drug cartels with pot farms and meth labs in state and national forests and parks. Jon
  20. Yes but as PO1 Mower used to say "That makes my fuckin' dick hard!" <lmao> <thumbsup> One of those behemoths crashing on deck would cause WAY more havoc than a jet slamming into the fantail. Used to work with a retired NYPD. In NYC they have (had) all the helicopter taxis from the building tops to the airports. He was telling me about a big ol' honkin' Sikorsky that was hit with a good gust, over corrected, and chopped up like 20 people on the roof waiting for it to land. He said they were getting calls for weeks to come get fingers, teeth, pieces of scalp, over like a 4-square block radius. Jon
  21. Unlike the ® debates, both were given the same questions. IMO the one question that stood out was "What do you feel the role of government is in our country?" Summarized, Obama: "To protect you!" Romney: "To protect your right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness endowed to you by our Creator." I hate the game and both parties. I was especially pleased that Romney in some responses appeared to have Obama flustered, chink in the armor and losing his cool a bit. Will DEFINITELY be watching the others in hope that he loses his cool! Jon
  22. Not much of a surprise here: http://www.activistpost.com/2012/10/3d-printed-wikiweapon-company-has.html We should do a story about being able to melt crayons into firearms at a preschool and see if the feds raid it. Jon
  23. Ha! We used to have the Super Sea Stallions land on ship with mail and whatever. Always knew when they were coming...clear the flight deck! 240' seems like a pretty big area...until the landing zone is rocking and wind is gusting that 87' rotored beast around. Jon
  24. Looks like the Surefire QD with the Vortex flash hider. Someone only recently suggested one of those to me. Jon
  25. poop, anywhere south of the main east-west pavement off the roads are big piles of illegal's crap/trash. We'll take them over to Ironwood while they're here, the trafficking super-highway from the border through Pima, Pinal, and Maricopa counties. We'll be armed though. Jon
