  1. Hey, we love yankees down here, at least the gun totin' ones! So far, the ones who have made the trek have had no complaints about the southwest cuisine!
  2. Bout damn time brother!
  3. Seriously, just file the thing down! Even if it doesn't leave that much of the split portion, once it's in the upper the pin can't go anywhere!
  4. I'm pretty sure it was this one, which is discontinued new since DPMS was sold. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1003343920 Yup, just checked back through my orders there and that is where I got it back about 4 years ago.
  5. Sorry, I've had this thing in my spare parts for a couple of years now and I don't remember where I got it. Hell, I wake up in a whole new world every morning, old age will do that to you!
  6. My spare retainer pin measures at .880 so my guess is that you have an out of spec retainer pin.
  7. Welcome from New Mexico!
  8. Or a file and just a little bit of elbow grease!
  9. I'm sure the barrel will be okay, I want to know if you have any leading issues with those bullets at that velocity.
  10. Boy, we haven't had anyone come here and step on their dick that hard in a while!
  11. Nice! That is the one caliber that I don't have much brass for, maybe 500 rnds if I'm lucky.
  12. So you got the bolt and barrel from Noveske at the same time? If so, and they said the bolt was headspaced to that barrel then the headspace should be good to go.
  13. Sounds like a pretty good load for 10mm, not you usual insane schit! Let me know how your bore holds up with these bullets at that velocity. Right now I'm looking at getting bullets to load for my 38 Super and that is probably just a little faster than I'll be loading for the Super.
  14. We need the internal measured length of your buffer tube (that will either be 7.00 inches or 7&5/8 inches) and the overall length of the buffer you're using just for starters. Those two measurements are huge! What are they?
  15. What's your estimated velocity with that load? I know your penchant for loading hot and lead bullets don't do good at 1200+ fps no mater what kind of coating they have. I can hit at 1200 with my 44 mag cast lead bullets but not much more. Those are cast with straight wheel weight lead and the have gas checks. The gas checks are what let me get away with the 1200 fps, it damn sure isn't the tire weight alloy! I checked out his website, I think I just found my new source for cast bullets! Thanks Mike!
  16. At any rate, I can tell that you'll fit in just fine here. You're just as fukkin demented as the rest of us! Welcome to the asylum from New Mexico!
  17. Fortunately I had enough powder, primers and bullets stockpiled so that I won't have to worry about ammo for a while, hopefully not until all this schit winds down. Had to do some scrounging for powder in Tucson and Las Cruces but I got enough to load my stuff. I'm using some powders I've never used before but any port in a storm right? A burn rate chart is a must when looking for alternate powders!
  18. Not hard to do with a Dillon 550, and all the .308 and .223 is already sized and the .308 is also primed. I had to scrounge around Las Cruces and Tucson to find enough powder to load some of this stuff, when I finish I'll be pretty much out of powder and primers but lots of loaded stuff stacked up if I can keep my damn kids away from it!
  19. Also, set your eye relief with the scope on the highest power, that is where eye placement is most critical.
  20. Last week; 500 rnds. 300 BLK 500 rnds .357 Mag 1000 rnds. 45 ACP This week, another 1K 45 ACP, 1K .308, 1.5K .223 and 1K 9mm. Gonna be a busy week!
  21. That's who made the controller in my system! I didn't install it but the setup looks pretty straightforward to me. The panels are LG, with their own charge controllers, was told that if a panel looses efficiency it doesn't effect any other panel's output. The Enphase setup lets me log onto a webpage and monitor the output and usage at any time during the day and I can also check the output on each panel at any time. I don't know squat about solar generating systems (I'm learning fast) but I'm pretty impressed with the Enphase stuff they installed.
  22. Damn, that's great write up! Thanks for posting!
  23. Not to mention he is responding to a post that is over 3 years old!
  24. HE'S ALIVE!!! How the hell are ya Wyatt!!
