  1. Your old tube should work just fine unless you're changing the barrel to one with a different length gas system. Just drive out the roll pin and reuse it in the new gas block.
  2. I'm right there with you brother, no sense in having a rifle that shoots better than I do!
  3. Here you go, found a pic of it I had posted way back when in the 1911 picture thread.
  4. I love me some red anodized parts on my guns. Tom and Matt and Mike can attest to that, red magwell, red trigger, and red basepads on my STI 2011. Oh, and the polymer grip frame is painted the closest metallic red I could find to red anodizing and then spattered with black & white! Matt said it looks kinda like Eddie VanHalen's guitar!
  5. That's not a few extra bucks Jetdoc! That's $177 difference! As for being a life saving device, I have a LOT of other guns I'll grab before my competition rifle in a SHTF situation! And yeah, I know just a little bit about life saving devices and tense situations.
  6. And stay out of the water when it's that time of the month! Shark bait for sure!
  7. This one's for you Tom!
  8. Those aren't plated, plated bullets shed the plating over 1600 FPS. Berry's is known for their plated bullets but these are regular copper jacketed bullets.
  9. You might try checking over in the handloading section at 300blktalk.com forum. There's a wealth of reloading info for the 300 BLK there, you just gotta search through it.
  10. DAMN nice rifle!
  11. Good one Doc!
  12. Here's the letter if anyone wants to read it; http://2ht1mik98ka4dogie28vqc4y.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Barnes_ATF_letter.pdf
  13. If you're going to go with a Lee press spend a little more and get the turret press. You can set all the dies up for one caliber on a turret and keep them there, much handier than swapping and resetting each die when you go to the next function or change calibers. The Lee turret presses are great little presses, I have one with turrets holding the die sets for all the calibers I'm not set up to load on my Dillon. I even use the Lee press to size and decap all my 308 and 223 cleaned brass before I tumble it again to clean the lube off.
  14. Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!
  15. Yup, I had to deal with the plantar faciaitus too. Podiatrist sent me to a guy who does custom insoles and the doc told me they would cost $250-$300. Went to se the guy the next week (he's only in town one day a week) and he told me I had 10 other people ahead of me. I told him I would come back later and went to Walgreens and bought some Dr Scholls arch supports. Problem cleared up in about a week!
  16. I'm with Tom, that MF'er would have been yanked into that counter so hard he wouldn't have known the gun was even gone from his hand until he felt the pain from his broken or dislocated trigger finger. Of course, at my size, pulling him over the counter wouldn't have been a big deal and he wouldn't be the first dumbass with a gun in his hand that I've done it to. My former Sgt. still talks about what I did to that Mexican in the bar!
  17. We're Americans, try to damp us down and we come up with a work around. We are and always have been innovators and the politicians just don't understand that whatever they dish out WILL be dealt with. That's what we do in America.
  18. You haven't been demoing any alien spaceships with big egg looking things inside have you!
  19. Haha! That's not my granddaughter guys, that's just a pic I got from another site! Figured it would be a good one to yank Tom & Matt's chain after the badassery they were showing at the shoot! I honestly don't think I could shoot to their level using THEIR rifles!
  20. Alright Tom and Matt, I'm callin ya'll out at the next Shootfest! I got me my very own fancy azzed long range rifle for the next time!
  21. Yup, you'll be good to go Sisco! Even if you have to get off the beaten path you'll be okay, ask me how I know!
