  1. Had the same problem with the short detent spring on my Matrix build. A piece of coathanger cut to .700 as a spacer solved the problem.
  2. JT, if you don't have any luck here PM me and let me know. I have a buddy who has a Ruger 762 and I can probably get his serial number.
  3. I used an Armalite A model catch in my Matrix build. Dropped right in and works just fine with my DPMS and Magpul mags.
  4. I'm guessing you'll hit .090 before it starts working good.
  5. Rene, I got the spare room ready for ya brother. Cold beer on tap and lots of green chile stored up for some good cooking when you get here! The wives are gonna hit it off great too!
  6. Gotcha!
  7. I hope that puke gets the death penalty! POS bastrd!
  8. Some of us cops are pretty fukkin hard headed, just sayin!
  9. You haven't been to Mikedaddy's city, Phoenix! That place is a concrete oven! Tucson is just a tad better!
  10. If you're going to put a can on it the two ounce difference between the two barrels isn't what you should be looking at, that's inconsequential. What makes a difference is that the weight of the suppressor will be two inches further out with the 18" barrel. If you're planning on doing much offhand shooting that can make a difference!
  11. I can understand them doing an AR-15 first, there's a lot bigger market for them than a 308 AR. If their AR-15 is successful I wouldn't be surprised to see them come out with a 308 AR somewhere down the road.
  12. I really liked it, the furniture is pretty nice. My wife's best friend is looking at buying one right after Christmas and asked me what I thought of it. She said it was pretty much set up just like she liked. I told her it would be great with a nice 1-4 scope and she told me "I like the iron sights, that's what I learned to shoot with!" Her dad used to do a lot of long range rifle shooting back in the day and I guess he raised that girl right!
  13. They're less than that. I think the one I saw was $799, and yes it has a midlength gas system.
  14. I have a theory about that Ron. I figure the first person to be prosecuted will get metric ton of support in the way of donations for legal fees from the shooting sector (individuals and businesses). I still wouldn't want to be the first one to test the legal waters but I can guarantee if it happens (which I seriously don't see) I will be donating to that person's legal defense fund!
  15. OOOOOHHH!!!! The 'cone of shame'!
  16. Me too. Seemed like a pretty well built gun and I wouldn't kick one out of my gun safe!
  17. Jacob, don't spend the extra bucks for the name, an upper is an upper is an upper and they all work the same! I've been using these recently and really like them; http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XANA3LWT&name=Anderson+Manufacturing+Lightweight+Sport+AR+Upper&groupid=4329 I live in the desert southwest (dust, sand and frequent sandstorms) and the lack of a dust cover and forward assist has been no problem whatsoever.
  18. That right there! I have an AK in 7.62X39 and a couple of 300 Blackouts. I'll take the 300 Blk. over the 39 any day. Like Mike said, .223 brass is cheap as hell and can be found anywhere and it's easy as all getout to make the 300 brass. Most of the 39 ammo is Berdan primed and very difficult to reload. You can load the 300 with anything from 110 gr. to 240 gr. 30 cal. bullets and there's a whole bunch of different powders that will work. The way I look at it is if you're serious about being prepped for the Walking Dead apocalypse you will already be set up to reload, and not relying on what MIGHT be found in a scrounging situation as far as loaded ammo! in the reloading aspect, 300 has the 39 beat no matter which way you look at it! And Wash, I'll bet I can load a 125 gr. 300 round that will roll hogs every bit as good as that Russian stuff!
  19. That's right, just make sure you get some illegal alien to melt that schit down for you!
  20. Ron, that is NOT a law! That is a determination made by the ATF. Until someone is successfully prosecuted for that all it is is a letter put out by some schithead at the ATF and is strictly an opinion of said schithead!
  21. Hell yeah, that's the sound of freedom!
  22. I saw those too Blue, and noticed that one person had made two or three of the posts! What tipped me off is they were mostly posted on May 15th and 16th 2016. I saw some earlier ones from back in 2011 &2012 and it seems they were being made in China then. They are being made in the Philippines now. At least Burris has a lifetime guarantee, if it's a problem I'll send it back for another one!
  23. Thanks Jon, but I found one for $280 on newegg.com and it's on the way! The wife says it's my Christmas present!
  24. Anyone here have any experience with the Burris AR-332? Looks like a pretty neat package and they have a factory rebate going, buy the AR-332 and send the info in and get a free Burris Fastfire III Building the wife an M&P 9mm to shoot in the new carry optics division in USPSA and the Fastfire will go on it. http://www.burrisoptics.com/sights/ar-sights-series/ar-332
